Firstly Willoughby Hall is the biggest catered hall in Nottingham, with this in mind the social life was bound to be great. With so many people in the Hall it was very easy to make a good group of friends as soon as you arrived. Towards the end of the year the common room which was already good, got refurbished with a PS4 added in and new felt for the pool table which is free to use. Only complaints is the canteen food at times, security can be quite strict at times but for the most part it is calm. Vesper cafe which serves alcohol is one of the only bars inside of halls situated in willoughby Hall. Overall great experience and mate good friends here, however could have been better value for money

Willoughby isn't the greatest looking hall on campus but it has many redeeming features. Firstly the student bar attached is one of only 4 on campus and so it provides a nice space to chill and enjoy down time. The layout in floors allows for a great community atmosphere and although the social areas don't look particularly fancy they are some of thr bigger on campus. Also it's positioning means it is close to the tram stop, sports centre and hummanities buildings, while still only being a short walk to the centre of campus

Willoughby was a decent enough hall, for what I paid it was more than adequate. Decent rooms, decent communal facilities and weekly cleaning. Food was ok, nothing to write home about, but the lunch card was good

Good and respectable Hall. It has the best hall bar on campus, vespers. However sufferers from neither being a more old and beautiful hall nor a more modern one. The fact that all amenities are in the one building is good though some of the decorative features leave a bit to be desired.

Willoughby is a great Hall to be in it has a lot of social areas like vesper which is great for lunch and also for when you need snacks after dinner. The catering could be better with more options but having the choice of hot meals is extremely useful for people who have yet to learn how to cook. The location of this hall is ideal for those who have lectures mainly in LASS since the walk is only 15 minutes. The room I have which is shared bathroom has decent space also.

The location is in a beautiful part of campus, close enough to most lectures as it is on the main campus. The halls themselves are pretty good, very spacious and full of good people. It is always easy to meet new people, the food is nice and the rooms are spacious and well equipped.

Great halls for socialising especially Vesper bar and the amount of people that live here. Catered food is pretty good, if you don’t like sticking to meal times or think that you will be away a fair bit then go self-catered (breakfast is quite early). Great location for getting to the Portland building, hallward library or social science buildings, only a five minute walk to David Ross sports village too. Shared bathroom (only two people) rooms are a lot smaller than I thought so would recommend just going for a room that shares the bathrooms with the whole corridor.

Bit old school (not very modern, pretty ugly on the outside) but it was fine! Bed was comfy enough, very sociable, had lots of fun. Food wasn't amazing, although to be honest it was very convenient not having to worry about cooking in first year. I was next to the lift, which sometimes was noisy.

Willoughby was a great hall for me, with decent sized rooms, great people and a good location on campus. The food was normally poor, but it was quick and easy to eat your meals. Vesper downstairs was amazing, especially in the summer and the halls itself was very well kept. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and always free. The social experience was great as theres so many people and always something happening.
