Really modern furniture and bathroom. Weekday cleaners who are lovely and excellent. Couch, TV and lockable food space for each tenant, 8 per flat really nice and modern can't fault it

Bedrooms are really modern and clean with a great view of the uni. Bathrooms are also really nice so definitely worth the extra money. Overall best uni halls I’ve seen for the price.

Very good and practical layout with a good sizing of both kitchens and bedrooms. Beds relatively comfortable and excellent view from the communal area. Good minimalistic rooms so you can decorate how you wish, just wish there was more fridge space for food between 8 people!

The location of the halls are brilliant as it’s on campus close to the sports centre. It’s also a short walk to the centre of campus where all the shops and entertainment can be found. The facilities are great with a big kitchen and cupboards for food, only missing a dishwasher. The social experience in the halls is also good with 8 people to a flat, the communal areas are big and clean with a daily cleaner. The room is massive with a double bed and an en-suite

Chancellors South is a very good and modern building. Rooms come with ensuit bathrooms which are wet rooms and a towel rack radiator. Lots of storage in bedroom (wardrobe/shelves, drawers, under bed storage). Comes with tv/computer and a mini fridge. Shared kitchen and common room are very impressive, two induction ovens, two fridges, two freezers, plenty of cupboards for whole cluster (8 people) and one lockable cupboard each. Downsides: freezer drawers are not of equal size so it feels unfair to split drawers between the cluster as two people end up with the ice drawer at the top of freezer whilst two people are getting the largest drawer at the bottom. Common room has a TV, dining table and chairs, and a sofa. (Bean bag too it you’re lucky!). Wifi is hit and miss at Chancellors south, sometimes its great and sometimes you are forced to sit in the hall way to do your assignment because the wifi has stopped working in your cluster. Same with phone reception, very hard to make clear phone calls sometimes. Social experience is different for everyone depending on relationship with your cluster, there is social every wednesday and frat every other thursday at the student union which at the start of uni (freshers) is unreal but after that it becomes a bit quiet and loses its feel due to people being on placement and having deadlines restricting social time. Halls are on campus and a 10-20 minute walk from Ormskirk town or the train station where you can get a half hour train to Liverpool / there is also a free bus available for students that takes you from the university to Ormskirk that runs all week.

The hall is located brilliantly a 2 minute walk to the hub and library and a quick 30 seconds to the gym, the rooms are lovely and have enough space to live and the kitchen/lounge is spacious fully functional and inviting
