The location is ok as we can get the free Brookes bus into town and also to uni, only about 15-20 minutes both ways depending on traffic. Crescent Hall itself is quite cozy with old buildings and nice rooms. Our kitchens are a good size and we get two showers an toilets in one flat so that is never an issue. The main downside is that there is no social space for people, and so we only have the kitchens for people to come over but there is a limit on the amount of people who can come over otherwise the wardens kick everyone out.

Rooms in j block really nice and nearly refurbished kitchens. Bedrooms have sinks in them which is really useful and there's two showers and two toilets which is more then enough between six people. Compared to other accommodations people seem more social and easier to see if that makes sense and wardens really nice. A bit of black mould in showers and cleaners a bit funny about bins and dishes being clean and probably buy a mattress topper the springs are a bit annoying on beds if I'm surviving without one and overall really good halls.

The location is far from Headington campus, the furthest out of all the accommodations which was annoying for me to travel in everyday. However the rooms are very decent, good lighting, good space. I was in the postgraduate Block so there wasn't as much social life as places like clive Booth and cheyne. However it gave me peace to actually do some studying and laundry was downstairs from me so it was very convenient.

The location was okay, need to use the bus to go everywhere though. It was quite an old building so had more dated facilities. The WiFi wasn’t bad and the social life was good, despite the lack of social areas. It was quite cheap for Oxford so was good value for money.

One of the cheapest but still not much worth of rent paid now because of its faulty fire alarm and also has very low quality divison wall in between rooms. Overall experience was good by socialising and making friends from different countries and knowing their culture.

The location is quite far to uni but everything is good, from room, facilities and reception. I love this Hall.

bedrooms were alright. The staff were not the most friendliest especially the wardens. However the worst thing about crescent hall was the maintenance team. There were multiple times when our shower would stop giving us hot water forcing all 7 of us to queue up for one shower room which made us late several times. It took the maintenance team a week to come through..

It's reasonably far from the main campus but realistically is not a problem as is only a short bus ride away. Plus it is much closer to the city centre and Cowley Road, a popular social area for students, so location really isn't that bad at all. The rooms are pretty spacious in some blocks and you get a large wardrobe & a sink in each room. Obviously it's not as nicely furnished as other Halls at Brooke's but it's in no way bad for the price, which is cheaper than the rest!! There's washing facilities and a computer room with printer on site. Overall quite a nice place to live.
