Perfect location! Big city centre with lots going on and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. There is also the Hoe/Barbican which is extremely pretty and filled with cute cafes. Would definitely recommend this city to anyone who is considering Plymouth University and as University option!

It is a good location but isn’t near to much. Have to travel by bus mostly to get to places. There is a Tesco and asda a walk or bus ride away and one bus ride into town where there is shopping, food, bars and clubs for nights out.

Great place to live, as a international student I would recommend Plymouth!! Not too many people and there are great places to visit, party and eat!

Everything in Plymouth like food & drink is considerably cheaper than where I previously used to live. The night life is really good as there's a large amount of clubs and bars. Including the student union bar, which is really good.

Location is central so easy to get to transport and shopping. The university overall is okay though some faculties are better than others. If you find a good mentor or lecturer keep them close you’ll need them come exam/coursework time!

Really great, modern city. Feels really safe to go out, there's a great variety of shops, especially in the shopping centre and it's all well priced in the area.

Nights outs are really good, it’s not that expensive. Most people go to pryzm, the su or union rooms/popworld. Shopping centre isn’t very big but there’s a wide variety of shops.

Plymouth is a lovely city. A vibrant city, right next to the coast- the city can be what you want it to be. The university is the centre of plymouth, a stones throw away from the high street, and a short walk to just about anywhere! The nightlife has something for everybody- Pryzm is a 15 minute walk, popworld a 10 minute walk, and you’re spoilt for choice with student bars, nightclubs, pubs and restaurants, some open 24 hours. There’s also a large and growing underground music scene, with The Hub, and Factory hosting events weekly- providing the best Drum and Bass, Bassline, House, Jungle etc.

The uni is in the centre of town, within 5 minutes of the student village (where most of the halls of residence are) and the main shopping centre + high street. Student housing is around 10 minutes away. You can walk anywhere you'd want to go.

Always something to do or somewhere to go! Great events on for students throughout the year, free aquarium nights etc. Shopping options are amazing but it doesn’t help with your student budget! Something to suit everyone’s likes & interests.

Plenty of decent shops, and decent places to eat. Average value for money throughout the city too. Not too bad to stay there.

Nice place with warm weather (even when it rains) and right by the sea so there’s always something free to do! Nightlife and shopping are good for a small city nothing is more than 15 minutes walk and the uni is 2 minutes from the city centre
