The room is of an okay size and there's decent storage. However the room is considerably damp, and with this has mould that has to be taken care of. The kitchens are not big enough for 6 people really, and the showers are okay. I found myself in a flat where I don't really get on with most of my flat mates since they aren't like me at all, so I am doubtful of the system they use to place people in rooms.

Robbins is in a perfect location right next to the uni. It has a good social experience but just needs a good room to socialise in as there is no dining table. The room is pretty basic but nice and cosy and good value for money.

The facilities in our flat were rubbish, things constantly broke and weren't fixed quickly or sorted out. The people put together weren't chosen to fit well together, and the RAs, responsible for sorting out any issues, didn't really care very much about their jobs. There also wasn't a big feeling of community in the halls, they tried to encourage halls events but they were never hugely successful.

Location is fantastic, situated 5 mins away from campus, 3 smaller clubs, 2 gyms Drake Circus, which is the larger shopping centre and a small Coop. It’s 15 mins away from Aldi and other shops and the main bigger clubs. The facilities are decent, being one of the cheaper accommodation it isn’t the nicest but livable, on the upside we do get a cleaner who cleans it once a week. My room is the same, unfortunately being located on ground floor, the whole flat is incredibly dark 95% of the time, having to have our lights on during the day. However, I know that this isn’t the case for the rest of Robbins. Social experience is fantastic, all the flats are very social and I highly recommend!

Location is great, close to centre and next to uni. Though there are always problems, small, lots of stairs, generally low quality residence and well over priced.

It’s not bad. Very close to the university, can literally leave 5 minutes before any class and get to even the farthest building on campus. The olace itself is small though, no real seating area besides some uncomfortable stool and a bar in the side that can’t even fit all your flatmates around. It’s be really nice to have more of a living area for the whole flat. The rooms are fine, a decent size and nothing wrong with the ensuite besides the shower being very small. The wifi also disconnects from phones all the time.

The halls are 5min away from university. The facilities are clean and every two weeks nice ladies comes in. They clean the kitchen and bathroom. The only downside is the price. Everything is included but when it comes to kitchen appliances, bed sheets, etc you need to bring everything yourself. It would make sense if they could provide some of it or make the halls cheaper.

Absolutely disgusting. It was like living in a jail cell. Crap facilities and lots of mold. An extortionate amount of money for what you get! I would recommend going to find a student house: better quality, less money. The owners also took my stuff (including my course books) at the end of the year before my contract even ran out without reimbursing me. Such a shame to let the university down in such a ridiculous way. Everyone that I know that lived there with me, in the years before me and after me have ALL had a similar experience. The social experience was not worth how much shit this hall put me through and as for the 'social areas they provide'. There is none.

Pretty funny place to live, if you’re going to live here definitely get a flat that has a balcony it will change your life. Some people can be pretty boring though if you’re being loud past 1am but just ignore them.

It's close to uni, shops, town centre and clubs. There is lots of other students around. The rooms are reasonably sized. It's nice that cleaners come once a week.

Very nice halls, surrounding area is useful as it is close to both the uni and some clubs as well as shops, other residents are friendly.

Location is fantastic, but the facilities are a little lacking for socializing. The kitchens are galley style with a bar top to eat at where you face the wall. It’s difficult to having a dining experience with others as there is no table space. The private rooms are wonderful though. Plenty of space and the en suite bathrooms are great.

The halls are what could be described as average as best. For the price the only positive is it’s location near the university. The rooms are very small, the facilities are very basic and the maintainace team are essentially useless, having been called out 4 times to fix a leak that is still broken.

The halls are in the best location you could ever wish for. Literally 2 to 3 min walk to most places on campus furthest at 7 min walk. Its about 3 mins away from the massive shopping centre and has a co op right out side it. Its ok but looks like a prison so not for you if your going for athstetics.

Decent.

The place is near city center and just 5min from University. Cleaners are coming every 2 weeks, the rooms are well furnished and in good condition.

Robbins halls were social, and luckily I had a great bunch of flat mates. Robbins is quite. Slower budget halls option which is good for saving money, and if you're someone that goes out a lot then halls is only a bed and kitchen really anyway so it's better to save more money for doing things. We had a courtyard which was good for socialising. My flat had 5 bedrooms, a shared toilet room, a shared shower room and a shared kitchen. The kitchen was enough space for us to cook, however was quite small for socialising with others for pres and we only had 5 plastic chairs and a small table. My bedroom walls were green which wasn't great, however the room size was pretty good, with lots of cupboard space. The room also included a sink so you could do your makeup, etc in your own space. The desk was an average size, with drawers and a pin board. One negative was that I was on the ground floor and my window opened straight into the courtyard where people hung out late at night and smoked. The reps were easy to contact and organised some halls social events such as movie nights, etc.
