Overall the Devonshire Courtyard Accomodation Is average in my opinion. There are many positives such as the courtyard size and layout, and the rooms are a decent size too!! You get your own bathroom which is always a good thing, also the location is probably the best thing. You’re always a walking distance from anything you want to do!! However there are many negatives aswell as the positives. For example, the kitchen isn’t as modern as expected and the sitting room isn’t as homely as expected. The colours in the rooms aren’t to my taste but that’s just down to your own opinion. The people which work here are extremely helpful and do everything to make your stay here a lot better.

Good location. Can walk to university in ten minutes. Not as good rooms as Victoria halls opposite. Walking distance to all the clubs

Location is great as it's only 7/10mins walk from the main city campus, very close to Division & West street (5mins walk max) so dont have to spend any taxi money on nights out, literally attached to corperation night club so if you like it there then that's convenient but you do get a lot of noise from there, if youre not asleep by 3am, drunk people walking past will keep you up until about 4:30am because apparently anyone who wants a fight will walk directly down Trafalger street to do so - basically the windows arent sound proof at all. The actual room is of a good size and it comes with all the essentials so can't complain and the wifi is pretty good but it has cut out a couple times in these first few months. The en-suite is also of a good size and the shower power is great. Walls arent too thin but you can hear if someone next to you is on the phone,if they plug something in at the wall and if theyre in their bathroom. Maintenance takes about 2/3 days to sort out a problem which is annoying if your lights are out... (we've had an oven door broken for about a month now and it still hasnt been fixed/replaced, it also took 3 weeks for them to sort out a lighting problem where half our flat (4/8) had their lights not working in their rooms/en-suites) The kitchen is cleaned by cleaners ever 2 weeks, electric ovens/stoves are annoying to use but it's not that bad, security of the place is okay if everyone in your flat remembers to lock the main door to it. You have a fob to enter the block/accommodation so that's secure although once a homeless person got into reception and started smoking in there. Noise complaints are dealt with really quickly. That's everything really, it doesnt include a gym and the laundrette is quite expensive, the common room is very basic and not very appealing. For £112 a week its not the best to be honest.

Devonshire courtyard has poor security and an even worse spice head problem. But its: a kushty place to live; the on suite kush; common room kush; pool table kush enough and its in a bless area of the city dev green in the sun. All in all peng place to live 10/10 would recommend on yelp

The halls were basic and acceptable for the price you paid. However, there was one block of flats which was directly next to a nightclub which I was not aware of at the time of choosing the halls (as I did not know the area). It ended up that my room was next to the night club!

Very old building, friendly staff, other student accomodation which would be better for a similar price

The flats are more basic than some other accommodation but such good value for money! Most rooms have ensuites and I loved having the courtyard to hang out with friends. Location is great for nights out, directly in front of Corp nightclub and next to west street and division st. Also only a 5-10 min walk to uni!

The location is excellent, right below division Street and round the corner from a variety of shops. Although the building is attached to Corp, they're not open 24/7 and my room was on the far side. (I can imagine the rooms closer could be significantly louder). The actual rooms are very snug, but big enough to live in. En-suite option is the one I went for, and I had no issues with it the whole year. It was challenging living with 7 others, but a cleaner came once a week to help. (we rly needed it lol.) Key card to get in, and key for your room is good. Plus on the way out you don't need either (unless you decide to lock your room door). This is perfect as you don't have to walk miles to let your friends or ons out, a button in reception does it for you. Reception is also good, as they collect your mail and email when you have a parcel. Overall its a good place to live, and I'd recommend it to most.

Good location, 10 mins from city centre, 5 mins from West street, right next to Corp which was great. Good facilities, better than some student accommodations I saw. Bit of a small kitchen and living room area though, but the quality of everything made up for it. Could have had a proper common room, but the grass area with benches was way better than some other student accommodations. Lovely in summer. Could have been cheaper, although it's the same for all student accommodations, but considering this it's pretty good value for money, all bills are included so you don't have to worry about having the heating on or anything like that!

Location is brilliant, flat is small and dark, paint coming off the walls, mould and damp everywhere, on top of a noisy nightclub

The location is central 15 mins from both campus’ and train station but it’s directly above a club called corporation which is good for some but not if you want to be awake till 3am most nights. Love my room it’s a good size but the colours are dull but you can change that with bedding, posters ect, bathroom is good, simple. It’s cheap and I have good flat mates so social experience is good.

The location is amazing for both the collegiate and the city campus's. The rooms are nice but they are dated and not cleaned properly before moving in. In my room the vent is very dirty and gives a bad smell so do the drains. The maintance only come to fix things if they are Major for example; they haven't fixed a curtain that has been hanging off for months. Some kitchens are nice and spacious however some flats have really small ones. Altogether I think it is a liveable for first year and fun, a great place to make friends. However there are improvements that need to be made which can be done easily with staff that do things properly.

The accommodation was what you paid for. unfortunately when we needed support in a situation where we felt threatened by people who didn't live in the accommodation, we weren't helped. I was also charged for a mood lamp I didn't receive out of my deposit.

The location is great for nights out, uni and shopping/food places and this makes things so much easier. The maintenance team take too long so this is a downside for me as some rooms are inadequate, mine for example But it’s clean and people are friendly Overall it’s a good place to stay in Sheffield :)

Nice accommodation a bit noisy but good location. The only issue is that the Wi-Fi is poor at times and there aren't many washing facilities which are also expensive

I loved this student accommodation in first year. The location was ideal as it was bang in the middle of good walking distance in to the city and walking to university. This was also very handy for going out on nights out at Corp was just round the corner, west street and carver street were withing a short walking distance along with plug and code. This made my feel connected to everyone around me and contributed to the experience of first year. My room was of ample size with a very large wardrobe and very large desk area. An en suite was also very pleasant as i would not have like to share with strangers. The kitchen was also of ample size.
