Muirhead House

I had one of the few ensuite rooms in muirhead, which I was lucky to receive. However in my room I had no where to properly store clothes, a toilet that doesn't flush properly. They're we're also cracks in my windows that had been filled in with tissue. Along with this our oven did not work properly, draws and cupboards did not shut correctly and parts would often fall off. I also had to pay £127 compared to my flatmates £93 a week which I was not aware of until I had to sign the residents agreement.

I had a nice ensuite shower Location was good and made for easy access to anywhere on campus Furnishing was quite dull and dismal It was cleaned thoroughly once a week My flat was quite which was nice as there was only 3 of us sharing the flat. The kitchen was really big which wes good as you could hold pres and things like that The storage that was provided in my room was ample and I had a lot of floor space too The kitchen had a lot of cupboards and storage and the fridge etc had enough room for everyone People were nice and it was value for money

Muirhead is ideally located, only a 3-5 minute walk away from the atrium and most lecture halls and classes. The building is quite old and this can be seen in the rooms and living areas. However, it is still very easy to make the flats feel homely and since the rooms are quite small you’ll spend most time in the living area
