The Forge U Student Village

Location is great for shops and transport links. A bit far from uni campuses and city centre. Halls in general modern and welcoming, handy having on site shop. Down side is that the rooms get cold very quickly due to tiny electric heater being on a timer. Room size fair. Down side is if you live in accommodation with sharing bathroom the shower is like a swimming pool one, constantly needing to be pressed to wash yourself.

Loved living at the forge, had my own bathroom, great security and fantastic staff. The on-site store and atm were useful on miserable days when it was easier to be closer than travelling.

The forge itself is a very well priced accommodation for what it provides, especially given the university can refund up to £600 of the years cost. The kitchen is fully furnished although you may want to take some of your own stuff. There's lots of space in the living room and rooms are quite large. The rooms were nice but had very little sound proofing so you could hear conversations through walls. The Wi-Fi was shocking in the kitchen and 2 of the bedrooms and nothing over the year of complaining managed to fix this.

Great facilities, friendly staff. 24 assistance and always helpful. Only downfall is that the bar closes for most of the year which could be a really useful place for students to socialise.
