The room is extremely good value for money and has a nice size although sharing a bathroom is not always the most cleanly option. The kitchen facilities are good but the oven needs fixing and it would be nice to have a social area and lifts for those who struggle with stairs but aren't bad enough for a disabled room.

It is an old and under-maintained building. Things are constantly breaking and the conditions are sub par. For example, there is mould in the showers and an infestation of silver fish that thrive on the damp conditions. When I first moved in my window would not shut, the iron was broken, so too was the fridge shelf, and there was mould on the carpet. The kitchen is ridiculously small for ten people sharing, with hardly any cupboard or counter space. The hall way lights do not always work. And you can hear the constant sound of the old pipes gurgling and cranking all through the night. Chepstow Hall's only redeeming factor is that it is one of the cheaper accommodations to rent on campus.

Dirty. Grubby. Slimy. Filthy. Detestable. Ugly. Disgusting. The cleaners hardly cleaned and when they did it was minimal. When I was there the girls shower was out of use for pretty much the whole of the first term so they had to share with us guys. 12 people using one shower!! It was very outdated and needs more than just a lick of paint.
