I live in a standard single room for £125 p.w. the room is a decent size woth plenty of storage, the bath room however is very small imagine boat bathroom and then you have it! Mattresses are pretty uncomfortable but will hopefully be renewed in the refurbishment taking place in the summer. Room control can be hard to mange as it is either too hot or cold. Kitchen is a decent size but needs some serious updating and a new cooker. In my opinion we need a bigger fridge or another one to share between five. However, the accommodation is in an amazing location, Morrisons is just across the road, 2 minutes walk into the centre of the town and a 10-15 minute walk to uni depending on speed. Their is also two smoking areas one with a bench one without. And also plenty of bike storage. Wi-Fi can be not and miss and often need to re-conect and you are lucky if you get it in the kitchen if you are not the room next door. However, this is a lovely place to live, and would recommend when the refurbishment is completed.

Bikes are the best way around a city where everything is within close proximities. Percy's Lane have bike sheds that can be locked and provide safe storage. The rooms are clean and big enough for their purpose and are reasonable enough in price. So close to the nightlife of York, walking distance to most places students will need and as their are many different sections within Percy's lane the student lifestyle doesn't go amiss!

Lived here for my first year accommodation at YSJ. Lovely building, flats are generous and the bathrooms have en suites which I loved!! 5 minute walk into the centre (once you realise the shortcut is the opposite way to which you've been walking for one whole year). Downsides: ; when the River Foss burst one side of the road and the main gate to the buildings were completely inaccessible. Being on the ground floor there was a high chance of flooding. The flood barrier has been renovated since so hopefully no repeats. ; if you are in Grays Wharf Flat 7 then you are outside the main complex and so there is no foyer for added security. Instead you walked directly into your flat (which was an issue when a problem housemate kept propping the door open and leaving it wide open for anyone to stroll in). ; also, a bit pricey. Worked out about £128 a week? But all bills included. Overall, 8/10.

The location of my Halls was great as it was within walking distance to uni and also to town- perfect for nights out! We had one site washing machines and dryers which were ok, sometimes a few of them were broken and they wouldn’t accept the new pound coins which was quite annoying. The halls were divided into flats of five bedrooms to each flat. This was good if you got on with your room mates, which thankfully I did. However I would have liked to share a flat with more people as it would have made the experience more social. My bedroom was good, it had an en-suit which was quite small but manageable. I did have some trouble with the bathroom door which kept falling off it’s hinges. In the end I had to get it replaced. Overall I had a good experience in these halls.

Location good for city centre but far from uni. Kitchen good size but room shape thin and once belongings are in the room it feels cramped. En suite feels like an aeroplane toilet.

Greys warfe is the nicest halls I’ve ever seen, all the other buildings in Percy’s are horrible. Pre-fitted bathrooms. Tiny beds (mattress is a lot smaller than the single bed frame that it’s on) hot water doesn’t work half the time and the temperature the hobs are going to be on is Russian roulette

Other than regular fire alarm and having to phone often about lights needing replacing I can’t really complain it’s pretty good.

great location for stores and facilities, close to the uni, worth paying more for. Can be disruptive due to other flats around you compared to other accommodation, but not unbearable.

The accommodation is so close to university which makes each day a lot easier and it's right in the town centre so you feel a lot safer going out at night knowing you don't have far to travel to get home. The room has everything you need, however, the beds squeak a lot and the showers are really small - the curtain sticks to you when you're trying to shower😂 The social experience is great, you meet new people almost everyday and there's always music coming from somewhere, really enjoy living here and the internet is amazing!

The location was good- only a 15 minute walk away from uni and a 5 minute walk from Morrisons. They were modern furnishings with a good size kitchen/ living area. The fridge and freezer were not exactly big enough but we managed. Noise levels were pretty bad at times, especially as my flat was right by the edge near the gate and smoking area. It was quite social with the flats close together too.

Building site outside building, kitchen window boarded up as a result. Grey’s Wharf is the only building with real bathrooms, otherwise you have a prefit plastic monstrousity

Really clean and easy to maintain, not many social events at percys lane but a good location from uni and not far from city centre and shops

room is decent, but a couple of faults such as spills on the floor and worktop finishings coming apart. The kitchen is a decent size, but could do with some modern updating. Noise levels are sometimes okay. WiFi is awful.

Very good, flatmates are a bit psycho If you clean it then it looks good Amazing showers and very nice rooms

The rooms were tiny. The higher up you got the hotter the building got. The double bed bedrooms were easily tripled the size for not a lot of price difference. The best thing about the halls was the massive kitchen and communal area however we were charged for cleaning that did not need to be done it was also VERY expensive

Pulmans house constantly has their alarm going off; you don’t want to live in that house. Some bugs and insects in the room which is gross, supposed to be on site 24/7 security but the security is never there because you call them and they’re always 20 minutes away. People dont really mix on campus so nobody really know each other unless I’m a flat and no communal areas at all. But is relatively close to uni and town
