The campus is getting updated every year, It looks amazing now and its one of the London universities that has an actual university campus feeling. I study politics and my lecturers help you whenever you need them to, I got into a bit of trouble near the end and the student union, my lecturers were all understanding and helped me thoroughly. The advice team were so helpful.

The campus was beautiful with loads of food shops and grocery shops near by. There are banks and a cost cutter. The dedicated careers service is good and my experience at Brunel was a positive one! I wish I could go back.

The course overall is good. The amount they expect you to study is quite high whilst the assessments are a mixture or coursework throughout the year and the final exams in May. The courseworks are quite practical (lab reports, literature reviews, scientific posters) whilst the exams encompass most of the taught material. However, I consider that each module should have a minimum of 2 seminars and at least one revision session at the end of the module. The lecturers know their stuff, but some have very strong accents which makes it hard to follow during lectures.

In first year, you will study 5 different modules, 1 coursework and 1 exam for each module, except for legal skills and methods, which requires you to do 2 courseworks.

Lectures last 2 hours, and are sessions for the lecturers to teach you the content.
Seminars last 1 hour, and are sessions for you to prepare answers to questions and consult your lecturer on anything you are unsure of.

This course is very good as it covers a wide range of topics within the modules, so can cater to anyone regardless if they are very informed about sport or not. From modules covering social theories in today's and past societies to biological studies and psychological theories.

Course module review - The Women's Movement and 20th Century Writing, 18/05/2016

The Women's Movement module is one of my favourites and a great basis for many students who end up looking at gender for their dissertation. We explore issues surrounding gender and sexuality dating back to events such as the Civil Rights Movement. It was great learning about the history of famous feminists such as Audre Lorde, Sojourner Truth, Alice Walker, Adrienne Rich etc. We talk about race, class, intersectionality, transfeminism and a whole load of different topics.
