Cardiff uni is located in the centre of city of Cardiff which is the capital of wales. Given Wales is not the best wealthy country in the UK, Cardiff uni has great funding for research and innovation. I chose to go to this uni is because of its research reputation. The reason why I give 4 stars is because the teaching quality is not very satisfying conepaing with other universities.

The services given at Cardiff are top notch. There are many clubs and societies. However, my favourite thing about Cardiff are global oppurtunities. My degree will take me to Prauge next year and this summer I will be volenteering in Uganda. You truly do get an opportunity to travel because of the bursary the uni offers to all those who are thinking of doing a summer project/semester or year abroad. I study history and I was impressed with my professors who Inspire me to learn more about my subject. Though I have only a few lectures a week that is to be expected because I study a degree where reading is essential.

Medical campus has good facilities and ample library space. SU is accessible and has services to help students with problems such as laptop problem and finance problems. Organisation of medicine course needs improvement.

Student union is great, my course-psychology is great but they sucked at fixing the strike problems, it affected coursework badly. The careers service are good, and they helped massively with finding me a placement for my 3rd year. The campus is nice too, not too spread out but just enough. Town is in walking distance and so are all the clubs which is ideal. There are also a lot of facilities dedicated to helping students find housing, with any mental health problems or financial issues.

Overall i am happy with the course and the lectures, but there is a lack of organisation in the chemistry department. Also i have found an unfair marking system on some of the work as the marks vary largely depending on the marker.

Campus is spread out over town, which I liked but could leave you a bit lonely if you weren't near the students union. My course was Physics - they always took student feedback seriously, but couldn't done with more girls toilets in the buildings. Lectures were always happy to help with any issues or questions, and were approachable.

Brilliant facilities, accommodating every need. Big range of societies and clubs, thanks to the students union being exceptional at outreach and advertising what they have on offer. The SU is by far one of the best in the country, very modern, insane student support services, if you have any problems at all, whether they be mental or physical, the student support services will go out of their way to ensure your issues are solved. Careers service allows ease of access to temporary work offers, and caters to all kinds of work, however the outreach is almost non-existent so you would usually have to hear about the careers services from a friend to use it properly. Internet is standard, nothing exceptional, and has quite frequent outages, but gets the job done when it is working, just don't depend on the uni wifi for getting things done on time, because you will be disappointed.

If you want to go to a uni where nearly everyone isn’t weird or crazy (well I take crazy back) then Cardiff is the choice for you. Still a Russel Group, the Head of KPMG U.K. went here and so did many clever ones. The only thing that no other uni can replicate is the night life, you know you’re in the diff when you walk into pryzm, or most importantly, our student union every Wednesday and saturday

A university filled with students from diverse backgrounds! Cardiff is a vibrant city but its beauty also sets it apart. It is the ideal place for a student to maintain the balance between studies and parties! People here are so friendly. Even for a foreigner, Cardiff feels like home. I’d recommend this city and university a thousand times !

Amazing university. Great professors with best architecture university buildings. Great location. This university gives a chance to many students to open up and interact. It also builds up the chance for students to get better job opportunities in the future.

Cardiff University is a city campus, and I love how the heart of the city is within walking distance from the main university campus and the student's union (approx 15mins away). There are many libraries to use with loads of seating. The student's union has so many elements to aid you in settling into university and getting extra-curricular activities which are vital to your CV, examples being global opportunities to fund any potential bursary you may need if you wish to do an internship/placement abroad and job shop to help give you job opportunities whilst at university.

Absolutely loved Cardiff as a university. Everyone is so friendly and I will truly cherish all of the memories I have made here. Lovely city and lovely people. Couldn’t ask for more.

Amazing if you want to do neuroscience/psychology, everything's pretty close together, halls are a bit dire, but good nights out, especially the lash on Wednesdays and fairly cheap to live there.

I have been enjoying to my course so far but I wish it was a bit more organised and there were more lectures (surprising I know but as a medical student I actually want to know what I am doing). I like that it isn't just one campus, it means I get to explore Cardiff more and not just stay in a little bubble. I love that there is pretty much everything in the SU, from a pub to rooms to practise dance in as well as several booths to study in- I've really enjoyed my experience!

Great uni and campus plenty for students to do such as the student union, societies and sports teams. Good amount of library facilities.

The campus has everything you could require including a 24 hour library. There are plenty of extra curricular courses to take from the SDS at the students Union, which have helped me a lot so far. My course was interesting, with plenty of great projects and good lecturers. However the organisation can be a little hectic and slow, especially when it comes to transcripts, housing and other unusual situations.

Have loved my university from day 1. Friendly staff, beautiful buildings (esp Bioscience and main building). Lots of libraries with decent opening times and a good SU providing support in a multitude of different ways.

This is a review for the nursing campus based at the Heath Hospital. The teaching I think is great, everything about it is fantastic. Just the facilities aren’t great. The buildings are very much run down, especially those in the main hospital. They haven’t seen much attention! The IT facilities aren’t fantastic and the WiFi regularly drops. The courses however are brill and being at Cardiff uni will make you better

-The university itself has a very friendly atmosphere. That is one of the main reasons I applied here. -I like that all of the university buildings and accommodations are spread within the city as it makes me feel more integrated within the city -the student union Is not particularly attractive from the outside though has a lot to do and the nights out are good

Biosciences is a great school, I got a wide choice of modules over the years and good teaching. I feel like the lecturers constantly looked for new ways to improve teaching/learning and offer better resources. The society offers a good way to meet friends.

Amazing facilities offered at the university, with latest technology and research. The course I am taking is well organised and the way in which coursework topics are chosen are fantastic. The career services are able to contact you directly as well as course leaders and tutors offering internships and placements. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first year at the university.

The campus is great and but seats in the library can be scarce but they do have a system online where you can find how many seats are available. Always had lots of help from the lectures with replies to emails ect reaching you within a day.

Cardiff University has a fantastic student life. Although not a typical campus university, most places in the city are student friendly with cheap prices and friendly atmosphere. The Student Union offers a range of clubs and societies that cater to many different people so you're bound to find something you're interested in!
