Thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years here doing earth and ocean sciences - plenty of opportunities to learn practical, vocational skills and develop my academic learning.

The location of Cardiff University is very good! You're in walking distance of the town centre, local parks, and museum. The facilities and student union at Cardiff are very good also.

Decent campus. But i would say my course does not provide enough support and is very difficult. Proven by all the students failing, dropping out and continuously resitting.

Excellent uni in terms of academic support and encouragement. It's lovely to work with such distinguished professionals and to be able to learn so much from them.

Cardiff university is a beautiful university. The university has all the support possible for it's students. It truly tries to get the best in you. I am privileged to be a part of such an institution.

The university overall is a good uni. With my course which is philosophy. I feel the tutors are helpful but I feel more feedback and help can be given. Also downside is we have to print a lot of material off necessary for our course and it can get quite pricey.

The lecture theatres are of decent size and are well equipped for teaching. Lecturers and tutors are quite helpful and deliver teaching to a decent standard, I feel more help can be given to students. A lot of financial help is given to students from poor backgrounds through bursary’s and travel opportunities are given to student doing certain courses but I feel it should be available to people who do all courses instead of only a selected few. Another downfall is having to pay a lot for printing when doing work needed for ur course.

A nice campus with nice people and environment. We have a pretty brilliant student union, they organise some great activities and nights out, as well as serious stuff, like careers fairs, that are actually really helpful. The campus might not be the most beautiful, but the facilities are very good. The library is huge with loads of seating (this is a big deal!) and the gym is really good.

As a recent graduate of Cardiff University, I can easily say the uni gave me the best three years of my life. It ticks all the boxes with its friendly Welsh charm, pretty greenery in the form of Bute/Roath park and amazing nightlife. What more could a student want?! For this reason, I would definitely recommend anyone to visit an open day.

The student union is awesome. A great place to study (especially third floor) with great food with reasonable prices. The only concern is if they can provide more tables on the third floor to allow fill utilisation of the space to study.

Really great uni in a great city! Student union has lots of fun activities always going on. Lots of library facilities, which give out free snacks when it’s revision period.

I love how the university is so close to the city, but still has a campus feel. The city is perfect for students, and the SU is the best.

Strikes were very inconvenient. Good facilities and support for students. Overall I live the uni and the course just wish that strikes were handled more professionally

A great city campus in a brilliantly vibrant, exciting and busy city. Not too big that you get lost but big enough to host major events! A great Uni with sporting reputation, research and new buildings. One of the best Student Unions around!

Sports facilities have been recently renovated to include more modern equipment and availability for students. Accommodation is generally good. Organisation throughout the uni is lacking though, admin decisions are shaky and have to be followed up on numerous times with different members of staff.

I am now in third Year at Cardiff uni and I’ve loved every second of it! I’ve made the best friends and the city is beautiful with everything in walking distance which is perfect as a student. I study medicine and the course is brilliant too and I know that’s the general consensus for most courses!

The cardiff campus has excellent facilities despite lecture halls struggling with high capacities. My course is very good and the majority of lecturers I have are excellent and very helpful, very fast to reply to emails and host regular extra lectures. Cardiff SU building is the best I have ever been to hosting a wide range of shops and multiple clubs. It is very convenient and a place I can go to for all my events . One downside is their leniency for societies and rush to cover up anything bad that happens in the them to maintain a good image rather than punishing those responsible. I have not used the careers service

As a city university, Cardiff can seem spread out, however the main buildings for the sciences, languages and music are very close together and surround the Student's Union. The Student's Union is very helpful, with five floors, including a nightclub, pub, retail floor with Co Op, whsmiths, post office and hairdressers. The SU caters for all needs with a multifaith prayer room and has booths where students can do group work. You can access help for career services from your lecturers and the union - both of which are extremely happy to help with multiple routes and options. Due to recent strikes I have been quite disappointed with the organisation of the university and its response to the disruption. I didn't have a proper lecturer for one of my modules for three weeks even before the strikes began - which added to frustration at the organisation of the Department. Other than that bump however I am very happy with my degree so far - I'm in Earth Sciences and we do lots of trips out for fieldwork and the lecturers are always eager to help and explain new concepts. Over all I love my uni however there are small niggles that just aren't being sorted out yet.

The students union is probably the best thing on campus. We have many help and study facilities as well as cafeterias and restaurants. The outdoor balconies are also great in summer! We have a global opportunity centre that offers bursaries to take us abroad as well as free language classes offered by the languages for all scheme.

Perfect for students! Everything is within walking distance! Lidls is the midpoint amoungst the different campuses #studentlife! I’m doing a healthcare course, the campus is abit furthest than the other campuses but has everything on site; library, lecture rooms, tutorial rooms, students union, hospital, shops etc. Cheap living costs make the city student friendly. The students union offers so many activities to trial. They run a “give it a go” progreamme which enables you to get a taster into the acitivity and whether you’d want to commit to any societies!
