Napier has an inclusive induction week for freshers with campus tours and classes making it easy to get to know your university building. The freshers programme is usually good with a variety of activities and events happening. There are a range of sports clubs and societies which are a great way to meet people and you can set up your own too if there’s something you’d like to see. All the lecturers at the university are very friendly and the courses are taught in a very practical way leaving you with not just knowledge but understanding of your course subject when your graduating. If a year abroad is something that interests you then Napier has a big range of possible destinations and provide you with lots of help with the process.

The Business School and campus where I study has an amazingly impoved and nice environment together with the facilities provided. The course I study is taught in a very practical way and provides us with useful knowledge throughout the trimesters. We always get offers from our lecturers about volunteering or job opportunities that really helps and makes it easier for us to get one.

Good course with lovely staff. The university could be more organised and efficient in many ways. Love being on placement so much and so quickly into the 1st year (Mental Health Nursing)

Good university, went for a couple of modules and really enjoyed the lay out of the course. The union was good and there was lots of really good facilities on campus

Very clean facilities at the Merchiston campus. Nice food in the cafeteria and very good supplies and equipment in the courses. Well laid out library as well.

The campus was quite basic compared to the other Napier ones, smallest castle I've seen but inside was nice and the classrooms had all the best tech compatible for your studies and the lecture balls were nice. The kilby and the library are a great place and so are the staff. Can't comment on the student union as I never really kept up with it or seen it. The course was alright except we were told that it was bjtc accredited but they lost that status on my final year and we weren't directly told and also the head of the department made us fill out performance reviews quickly so us finding out didn't make us put lower scores

A great poly to get into offering a wide range of courses across 3 different campuses in and around Edinburgh with first year halls being in the city centre. Fantastic place to spend 4 years at university with many courses offering work placements or study abroad for a year giving students valuable industry experience. Was offered a place through clearing in 2017 to study joint honours English and Film where lecturers have been attentive and offer great feedback on essays. Napier ranks highly for studies in modern English however all ages of literature are studied with many option modules to choose from. The film side of my degree is fantastic as the university works alongside screen academy Scotland and has its own building situated around the corner from the Merchiston campus. This year I have been taught by a number of industry professionals which has given me valuable knowledge into this particular field of work. Napier courses blend academia with vocational work/study to give relevant experience employers look for. Aside from studies the university runs a number of societies however there is definitely room for plenty more! Students are also emailed details of events or workshops that take place on campuses or around the city to further provide us with with more valuable opportunities to help secure jobs after graduation. Napier is about getting students into work and teaching them the skill sets they need for their chosen field. All in all a humble university doing its best to provide valuable education for its students. Being based in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe is just an added bonus.

Edinburgh Napier has been great for me, however there is no gym in the city centre- and the football facilities are located quite far away.

Big without being too big, the university campuses allows a good university experience. I am quite satisfied of it overall regarding the education given but also of the existing clubs, the organised activities and the help given by the lecturers when needed.

As a nursing student i have found the course to be unorganised, with little support for nursing students. You are pretty much left on your own, only being in uni for one, 3 hour tutorial a week! The rest is hours upon hours of online work that no one really understands or finds useful. The best part has been the skills classes in the clinical skills centre. The staff are all lovely and i have learnt so much at these sessions. The rest of the course i feel i have not learnt much and have had to learn most things myself.

Overall I have really enjoy by time so far at Napier, all staff and students are lovely. However I do feel like they are a bit un-organised when it's comes to freshers week, extra-curricular activities (sports) and study abroad information.

My course (classical music) is incredible! So many opportunities to perform and generally become a well rounded musician

Edinburgh Napier is an amazing university and they are very very supportive toward their students, I'm very happy I decided to go there!

The school is quite a good school however you have to be careful that you stay on top of things as the students tend to have a very lax outlook on things which you can get swept into. Many students join clubs to make their time more exnjogable and allows for you to meet new people.

The university campus is clean and very well equipped. It has a brilliant team of staff in the SEBE campus and especially the lecturers for mechanical and electrical. Some lecturers were not as good, however, we’re dismissed in my time there. However I did have said lecturer for the duration of my module and then had an exam with less knowledge than acceptablefor said exam. I am an avid gym user , but the gym for Napier is out in Sighthill (away from most students, except sighthill campus users) so I cannot comment on its facilities, except being inaccessible easily to many students.

The course is amazing and challenges me in way I didn’t expect. The lecturers are supportive and have helped me get through my first year of university. They have also helped me prepare for the beginning of my second.

Very disappointing overall. The university staff weren’t particularly friendly with my head lecturer being an egotistical bully who singled me out on multiple occasions. While the facilities and resources were impressive, everything was heavily restricted, being very look but don’t touch. Ended up leaving after the one year. Just wasn’t worth it.

The course I do is software engineering. So far it has been very could with related modules and very helpful lecturers. It has great facilities for my course ranging from dedicated computer labs or a large building of high end computers for group work

I just love the campus and the faculty is too good . Moreover I am getting new experiences and exploring novel things that's really fantastic and amazing. Sometimes I feel that I am so lucky to be the part of this university and wanted to make my parents and my university proud in research field. Hope my dreams come true with God's grace and with my parents support. The alumni of the university is really very cooperative and providing different classes to review the problems occurring in our life whether it is academic or personal .

Campus facilities are all really modern and nice. Staff are helpful and the online portal is really easy to use. It’s good that there’s a 24 hour computer lab that’s really central as well as the 3 campuses. Courses can be a bit disorganised, especially nursing. Sometimes marking criteria and assessment criteria aren’t super clear but you are generally supported quite well through your degree.

Campus location is good. Some teachers a ran hir and miss. Old is awful. Needs ore funding to successfully educate students to a good standard

The university itself is a good school, however the biggest critique I have is that it is not car parking friendly. No where to park and is also middle of nowhere so hard to get transport. Closest train station is haymarket and from there is 30 minute walk

Cool modern campus, exciting and interesting course, engaging lectures and never a dull moment with uni friends
