Currently in my penultimate year at Napier University and i cant lie i would do it all over again. the staff the way of learning on the most part was a shock to change to from learning in high school however, I feel it has changed the way I think and look at problems allowing to give an increased analytical approach to problem-solving. Overall university facilities are fantastic and haven't incurred a problem with any of it.

The Merchiston campus I am at has great helpful staff. Facilities are considerably good as there is access to a library 24/7 (Jack Kilbry). Only thing is there isn't many social events going on. It is also difficult for transport as there are very few buses, train station is a 30 minute walk and there is no place for parking.

The Sighthill campus is quite far away, with the union at the other end of town, social life isn’t great but the teaching and course is amazing

The campus is really nice, very friendly staff on the campus and a lot of facilities there. The food they make there is pretty nice and there is always a good range so it is suitable for vegetarians as well as people that have come from other countries! The careers service is very helpful with CVs and other such things like giving presentations on how to find jobs and summer placements. The course that I am studying is informative and very hands on.

The three campuses are all great with all lecture theatres/tutorial rooms very modern and well equipped. Library is open for long hours with plenty of spaces to work (Merchiston is even open 24 hours) and this is great if you're the kind of person that is most productive at night or need to fit your studying around other aspects of life!

Bad teaching, bad placements for St/n, no support in general. Constantly try to get you defer if you find the slightest thing difficult.

I am based in the Merchiston campus. I think this is a great university, helpful staff and resources, willing to help with whatever I am struggling with. The thing I hate though is transportation. I am living at home and travel by train everyday. It takes me half an hour every walk to get there from haymarket station. It doesn't help that I am in EVERY single day only for an hour or two, and sometimes even worse I get three to five hour breaks...in which case I struggle to think what to do.

The campus is fairly modern with a well stocked library and helpful staff. Flexible opening hours which is good. Lots of societies and you can start one. The canteen is a bit overpriced and it’s not overly accessible by public transportation.

The campuses offer great resources and material. Library and computer services available 24/7 365days a year.

Great facilities and look after students to ensure they achieve their best. Large enough lecture rooms and staff are easy to contact if needed.

The campus is pretty small but it has the necessary facilities for our course. The professors are great as well! Would improve on the student union but other than that it’s a great university for local and international students!

Merchiston campus is really nice. We have a building that's really old and has a history. We have a Starbucks over our cafeteria. The library is a relaxing place with space for group work. The JKCC (Jack Kilby Computing Centre) must be my favourite place in the campus. It's open 24/7 and has a large amount of computers and group areas. Finding where to go however, is slightly annoying until you get used to it. I've gotten lost several times. But you get used to it quickly. Every room at Merchiston is newly renovated or being renovated. It's really fancy and the chairs are decent. The school of computing offers a nice range of courses. The first year, most students have the same lectures. It's nice in a way so that you get to meet more people. There's a couple of the lecturers that are really hard to understand in the first semester. If you ever need any help in the school of computing there's no problem asking your lecturers/professors for help. Everyone are on first name basis, and they want you to succeed. The student union, ENSA, arranges a wide range of events. You don't really see much of them though. There's a gym at a campus I don't go to at all so I cannot rate that. At Napier there has been a lot of events for careers. There's also people you can talk to. In the beginning of the first semester, there was an event which led to several students getting part time jobs. There's often events for getting contacts in your career choice as well. Napier has a nice support system for international students from before they even get there. I was in touch with a few people before I even got there who helped me out A LOT! Any question I had, they answered. Still, if I have any questions or problems I can always email the international officer for my country, or the student ambassador for my country by phone or email.

The university life at Napier has been beyond what I would have imagined. The access to facilities is incredibly easy and the staff are always helpful.

Really enjoyed my time at Napier university the facilities where kept up to date year on year they where constantly spending the budget given to keep up with the bigger universities only issue was the merchiston campus is really bad for parking but apart from that great uni and I’d recommend all my friends to go there

It’s been a pretty disorganised course and there has been variable feedback on assessments. The students union isn’t great but the facilities are really good.

Campus was fantastic as the JKCC had plenty of computers. All lecturers were really friendly and my programme leader is also a pleasure to work with.

Lovely campus at merchiston. The JKCC is a spectacular workspace and the university is overall organised and well thought out. Only issue being navigating the building as it’s layout isn’t 10/10. Lovely lecturers and most helpful.

Currently studying how management at this university and I feel that it is one of the best courses at this university, the university it’s self is in an easy location for public transport with a bud passing by every 15 minutes

My university, Edinburgh Napier University is very good! The uni campuses are spread over three buildings, personally mine is in Sighthill in the west end of the city. All three campuses are accessible by bus. Sighthill campus itself is a modern building with great technology and library to hand for students wishing to study. There are two cafes and a Starbucks on campus and shops nearby meaning it’s very easy to get snacks at affordable prices.
