Good and cosy campus but would prefer if all halls of residence were near campus and not spread out across London. Some halls are in North Acton whereas main campus is in South Kensington. Lots of places to eat and drink on campus which is great. Student discounts make campus food much more affordable than eating out. Decent careers service but would prefer more talks within departments in first year so we know what help is available. Also personal tutors should be better trained in CV/internship/job matters.

Smart people everywhere, meaning you'll become smarter. Smart things happen so you become smarter. Smart dress code mean you'll look fly and smart. Smart teaching so you'll become smart.

Course review , 31/05/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

Chemical Engineering at Imperial is a tough but immensely rewarding degree. You have access to some of the best research, best facilities and best industrial links in the world.

However, it is hard work and the degree is only fun if you really care about the subject. It's not for people just looking to get a good degree and then find a job unrelated to the field.

Mechanical Engineering is a tough course, once you fall behind you are almost always behind throughout the term. Therefore, it's really important to prepare for classes and keep up with tutorials, which I wish I did. The theory was not all that complex, but once you need to apply them in exams, that's the hard bit. Imperial has been great, a lot of support was provided and I did enjoy my time here.

Course module review - Plasma physics, 10/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

This was one of the third year modules and was my favourite module of the whole course. It is taught by one of the professors in the plasma physics research group and is very comprehensive. Because the plasma physics group at Imperial is so big, doing this module can give you many exciting opportunities to work in the group afterwards.
