My first year of uni was a bit of a flop as I was studying events management and the course was in no way shape or form the level or calibre that would be expected of a university course. However, I changed to marketing and and ended up graduating with a first and received multiple awards. I received so much support and gratitude throughout my years there and built strong relationships with multiple tutors. Everyone here is so willing to help, whether that be personal, financial or educational support, there is always someone there to listen to you.

Good quality of teaching for the most part. The buildings are well equipped and not too far from each other. The libraries are fully equipped and a lot of space however they are always full and more private spaces would be good. Everything is always clean and constantly updated.

BSc (Hons) Zoology

The course includes very interesting content such as animal behaviour, their physiology and evolution. The trip away to Tenerife in second year is a great way to get to know each other while learning what it's like to work out on the field. The first year is great and the years gradually get harder with more work as you get to your final year. The course is very enjoyable as you are learning about something you are passionate about and have opportunities to gain experience from local zoos and research departments at the university.

The content whilst varied in first year becomes too tailored in years 2 and 3. The first year offered more breadth in topic and assessment was a mixture of exams, presentations and essays, however this was not the case for the final two years and therefore worked in favour of the minority of students.

Although the course provides all textbooks free of charge, the information they provide in lectures is too in depth or not in depth enough. Coming up to first year exams and there is very little material provided to help revise.

There is a wide choice of topics you learn in this module and all are interesting as it is easily transferred into real life situations. The course is taught by two lecturers, both of which are really good at teaching and offer help and guidance when necessary. The course itself is split into equal weight between one coursework in semester 1 and one exam in semester 2.

This module is a really interesting and engaging module. It involves really interesting topics such as cardiovascular disease, mental health and immunology. Whilst learning in this module it gives you a true understanding of common illnesses, how they are caused and what is the best form of treatment.
