LSE is a really great uni to attend if you want something more than the average university experience. The central London location adds another dimension to university life, as you're in a busy city where there's a great deal of activity going on around you, meaning that you don't have to be completely engulfed by campus life if you don't want to. The university has a wealth of insanely qualified lecturers, most of whom have MAs, PhDs and/ or are accomplished writers/ experts/ economists, so you can trust their knowledge with great ease. The campus is probably the university's downfall - despite the great location, there is a great deal of development and construction work, so it can be loud and unattractive. However, the location makes up for it, and the work should be finished next year.

LSE is a really good university. Professors are always there for you, the staff is kind, and the general course is really good. I made an exchange programme there and it was an awesome experience. The readings are really new and serve the purposes of the courses. You should definitely study there.

1) Really interesting courses and wide variety of module choice.
2) However, modules are very exam-based, not a lot of alternative assessment methods.
3) Teaching quality is really good in my experience.

Personally I think the course provides a very good, brief but with certain level of difficulty as well as critical thinking kind of challenges which I like. The teaching overall was okay but what I really find useful was the fact that they record lectures and prepare loads of useful notes and exercises that really helps in providing a better understanding but one has to do a lot of self study.

The course content is very interesting as a whole and covers quite a wide variety of topics both in social policy and government allowing you to find out and choose what particularly interests you. the majority of the work is however independent study so you have to be quite self motivated to undertake this course.

I enjoy this module the most as part of my degree. There are different teaching methods employed when teaching it, such as role play, lectures, classroom sessions, reading list, videos. I believe that more use of videos should occur as part of this module’s teaching methods, making it more interactive and easier to remember. I enjoy most the fact that it is future oriented and the study material is contemporary, as much as possible.

EH101 is an overview course on Economic History. it takes you through different economies, from Russia to Africa. This allows you to explore different themes that have occurred over time in these countries and understand the impact this had on their present day performances.

The course is great to introduce you to how economic historians analyse and provides a basis for you to choose what to specialise in during second year.

This module is superb. By far the best course i've done at LSE. The reading list was varied and interesting. I also think that the lecturers and teacher for this course were passionate, and interested in giving us a good insight into the true field of development research.

I liked the set up of classes, and especially how we had a new topic every week.

The exam structure was good as it allowed students to truly engage with content. My only negative is more feedback would have been better, but with only 1 teacher for almost 90 students i do understand the issue.
