London South Bank University was founded in 1892 as the Borough Polytechnic and merged with four other colleges in 1970 to become South Bank Polytechnic. In 1992 LSBU, situated in the centre of London, was granted full university status.
This is my first year at London South bank university and I can’t complain at all! Nice and polite staff. Clean and accessible building. Huge library. The canteen is full of choice. Thousands of interesting courses. Lectures and tutors seminars are very helpful and organised.Good social life, lots of societies, really good study abroad program could offer more career/service. There's loads of society's for basically anything you can think of, and they're really easy to join into. Everyone is willing to except new people at any time so it's a really friendly atmosphere. Very bad on careers my sister went to UCL and imperial to study. My sister had advice from lecturers re her CV and possible career choices. At least at Imperial they actually had speakers come in to talk about career routes nothing lile that was offered at Lsbu . I only hope they've improved.
Midwifery student - Lectures extremely helpful and supportive. Practical skills labs are great and up to date.
