Awarded university status in 1992, Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the biggest universities in the UK, both in terms of campus size and student numbers. It aims to be a university for world class professionals and puts an emphasis on vocational education and employability.
The University was once spread across seven sites but has since consolidated to just two campuses: the All Saints Campus and the Cheshire Campus. Huge changes have recently been enabled by a £350 million investment programme.
The Students' Union represents all of MMU's students and provides 150 different sports clubs and societies. Manchester is one of the UK's greatest cities and offers a huge number of opportunities as well as an exciting student life.
Great facilities and awesome staffs in MMU. I had a great experience of my 2 years uni life in MMU. The course I taken is Retail Management and Marketing, the lecturers and tutors are experienced and knowledgable which really pass the quality knowledge to us for our future career.
MMU provides great environment and facilities for students but I find it difficult to get my sense of belonging in this humongous uni. Many things are systemise, and a lot was dehumanising as I find it difficult and lost to ask for help as an international student. Many good opportunities are introduce to students but I find my course relatively impractical, I am sad to say that I don’t think my degree have taught me enough given the amount of tuition fees I have paid.
