About Manchester Metropolitan University

Awarded university status in 1992, Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the biggest universities in the UK, both in terms of campus size and student numbers. It aims to be a university for world class professionals and puts an emphasis on vocational education and employability.

Campus

The University was once spread across seven sites but has since consolidated to just two campuses: the All Saints Campus and the Cheshire Campus. Huge changes have recently been enabled by a £350 million investment programme.

Student Life

The Students’ Union represents all of MMU’s students and provides 150 different sports clubs and societies. Manchester is one of the UK’s greatest cities and offers a huge number of opportunities as well as an exciting student life.

The campus is set out to give students a clear idea of how student life actually works. It allows us to communicate well between each other and they are also in perfect locations.

The campus is compact and everything is close together. The facilities are good and modern and we have extra things like the MET card which gives you money to spend in the uni. The online library has of books online for free meaning you don't have to buy them. My course could have been organised better as there is lots of overlap between the 2 halves.

Personal Learning Plans are devised which are very useful and accommodating. There are disabled rooms available in some accommodation's and lifts are available in all the buildings. Staff are supportive with extensions of deadlines.
