my university is very helpful and supportive. Applying for universities I was always told that I wouldn’t get help from lecturers and it’d be a huge jump from a-levels however I feel like the lectures and seminar leaders are very helpful. Also the facilities are amazing. Free printing is also a plus.

Very helpful mental health and pastoral care team. Good employment help and library facilities. Very social university and alot of friendly fraternities and groups. They even have subway on campus and Costa coffee. There are many friendly staff and my course is amazing!

The course I am studying at the moment is International Tourism Management. It is interesting because we learn a lot about history of tourism, the economy which is really important, tourism and society is also interesting subject in which we learn about host and guest relationship.

Child nursing is a very fulfilling job. It requires a lot of time, patience and overall resilience. As a student you need to be able to try new things as well as work within your limitations. Never be afraid to ask questions whilst on placement. It consists of both practical and theory. It allows you to put your theory to practice. Assessments are not so close together and as long as you are organised you are able to complete them within the deadline. Your lecturers are always willing to help and try to respond with 2-3 days.

This course is hard. I need a holiday bottom line. Overall I think the course is structured quite poorly though I'm always rushing to meet 2 deadlines at a time whilst also working. I wouldn't mind extending the course in order to have a proper summer holiday like everyone else. The lecturers are okay, some better than others. I'm in year 2 so I'm not quitting now but I wish there were more honest reviews out there of my course as if I had known it was average I might not have applied.

Course module review - Business Game, 22/05/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

This module was based online only, there was no lecture or seminar. a simulation called StratSim was worth 40% of the assessment plus two simulation assessments worth 20% each and finaly two online tests worth 10% each. The simulation was very complex and difficult at times to manage, the aim was to increase the initial stock price of $50. It was dissapointing to know that after 10 simulation decisions your grade depends on the stock price you end up with if over $50 or under.

Course module review - Applied Social Psychology, 19/05/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

The module is set about forensic psychology - and is broken down into four assessments. An exam in May, an essay in may and two formative assignments of a presentation in May (to aid revision) and an essay in Jan. This is quite unstructured as it means that students are unaware of the value or the mark they have in this class. As all marks are given at the end. There is also a presentation due that isn't useful for everyone, and seems like it is structured to tick off skills then actually learning them.
