The uni is modern so all the facilities are high-tech. The campus is small, but has all the amenities you need. The student union could be expanded and the careers service could be improved. The student life here is great, but very expensive! I really enjoy the teaching and facilities here at Brookes, as well as the accommodation so overall, I’ve had a great experience.

The mental health support services are great but the medical services are poor. They rush the appointments and it takes too long to get an appointment.

Beautiful location and great facilities. The library is absolutely amazing and comprehensive although funding for art books had been cut which I think is terrible. Art students need books as it's the next best thing to seeing a painting, for example, they don't look the same on a screen. Tutors are great as are the technicians and there is a good independent to taught learning on most modules.

I have had some sessions with a therapist following some traumatic events in my life recently. I have the most amazing family and friends who I can tell anything so I wasn't expecting much from therapy. It helped so much and I feel so much more positive, in control and calm. My therapist was such a nice woman and a wonderfully perceptive listener.

The degree is a modular structured degree, with different stages in each year. I personally think that this is a good idea, as it gives you a chance to choose modules that will suit your future preferences as well as completing the compulsory modules. Teaching and assessment always have mixed views but generally all good.

History as a subject is always interesting and therefore doing it as a degree is even more interesting. At Brookes over the three years you look at a vast variety of different eras and aspects of history which broaderns your knowledge. The lectures are always interesting and the seminars give you time to go over the lecture and get a better understanding of the topic and the readings associated with it. However, this course is a very independent one and therefore takes a lot of your own work to do well.

Course module review - Legal Theory and Critique(Honours Component), 23/03/2017

TAKE IT if you love philosophy and law. DO NOT TAKE IT if you can't think for yourself.

Chris Lloyd may seem aloof but he's an excellent lecturer/module leader. Andreas Kotsakis is a lot more detailed at times. The seminars and lecturers are done one after another, all within 2-3 hours. Both excellent. Do your reading to make it worth your time.

Course module review - Introduction to Magazine Publishing, 08/02/2017

Magazine publishing module takes you from the very start of magazines to the end . You have two pieces of coursework for the which is a research diary, where the library is much needed and you create your own magazine which is perfect for creative people like me.
