The course is ideal for those interested in social work and incorporates vital theory along with the skills required to apply knowledge within practice. Teaching throughout all years focuses on psychology and sociology and includes placements in second, third and fourth year in order to apply the knowledge gained from lectures and seminars.
The way in which this module is taught is extremely useful and helpful to the majority of students. The lecturers are very helpful and teach everything in a clear and concise manner which makes an otherwise difficult module easy to understand.
The practice exam questions used as tutorial questions. The amount if books for this module were enough for atudents ans the option to read the e online book. The teaching of this course the lecturer used simpliest termology to begin within then when we were familar with the words processed to the accounting termonlogy.
You can ask questions in lectueres and tutorial support via email and a prcatice test in tutorial was voted for so students can not what to expect for the real test and the exam
This module was my most challenging, it taught us how to code not only with correct syntax, but efficiently for the machine and less time consuming. This was by letting programs run concurrently, side by side. It was very hard all the way through but all of the support from my lecturer helped a lot. It has made me realise that anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
This module was a 30 credit module in the first half of the 4th year. It was a challenging module which helped develop design and presentation skills. I found that I enjoyed and was good at creating architectural visualisations externally and internally. I have learnt that research and materialty is important in a good concept and design.
This module would be better if there was more unformation available about the aseptic techniques used in practice. The module overall is rather confusing because it ties to totally unrelated subjects together!
There are a wide array of modules covered in the Accounting and Finance BA (Hons) course which leaves you in good stead for sitting professional qualifications later in your career. Most of the lecturers and tutors are very helpful. This course is mainly assessed through examinations, of which it is made very clear how they are marked and therefore how to get the best marks you possibly can. There is also some coursework in the form of reports or essays and some team work, but these make up only a small part of the course.
The teaching and quality of the course is the reason i decided to attend this university. The placement year is an option to get real life experience in the work force and stand you out on your c.v. My degree covers a vast amount of modules from economics to management and financial and other modules.
I would prefer the univeraity to be opened 24 hours monday to friday or thursday like majority of universitiea. If my university could move the exam timetable to before christmas as we are the onky univeraity within the UK that still has exams after christmas. If we moved the timetable it would improve performance and the university on the league.Academic support is needed as teachers always comment you can contact them via email and do practice exams and send it to them to recieve postive feedback before exams . Alot of resources of material and books and journals.
My degree was both practical and academic. The study abroad semester during year 2 increased my confidence by leaps and bounds and the 3rd year placement year allowed me to not only earn while learning but gain a valuable experience into the world of work
My time at Robert Gordon University has been incredibly beneficial and enjoyable. The Management course was an excellent choice for me. All of the modules that are provided have been interesting and useful. I think it has been challenging but nothing too out of depth, the resources have been fantastic whether that is the staff, libraries, general university environment etc. The assessments have varied from presentations, coursework, examinations and reports. I think this is great for catering for every students strengths. Overall, It is a great university and I have no regrets over the management course. I am extremely sad to be finishing!
