I studied a PGCE course at this university and was really pleased with the facilities that was available to me. The course convener was really helpful and my course tutor was extremely supportive throughout. When organising placements, they made sure that they were within a close proximity to me.

Beautiful campus, great facilities for disabled students and students with hidden SEN. Student union was very helpful, education course very enjoyable and placement experience in schools were invaluable! On quite a few occasions tutors would cancel lectures and ignore emails but these would be the same members of staff. Other tutors would also provide as much support as needed and would often stay behind to answer additional questions if needs be. Careers service is excellent and provides advice about appeals when being mistreated by your department as well as the student union. The New library I have only recently been able to use has amazing facilities/ study rooms and open work spaces available with different voice levels- useful for when working with a group or when you need to focus and study alone!

Studying at this university has been a great experience. The diverse and friendly atomosphere makes it such a great place to fit into and get involved with. The campuses are all beautiful with an amazing picturesque lake in one of the colleges. The university has a range of degrees and a diverse range of students attending. You will feel completely in your element as the staff make you feel warm and welcome. My course has taught me a range of skills I will take with me through life.

The degree runs for 3 years on a full time basis, it is well organised and structured. The lectures run smoothly throughout the whole year. These cary in days and times througout the week. The teaching staff are good at what they do and are enthusiastic about the material. Feedback on assignments is very helpful and feedback is given adequately. The course itself is very complex and demanding and apart from attending lectures , you need to do a lot of independent study in order to enhance your own understanding of the materials being taught.

Course module review - Criminal and Forensic Psychology, 20/05/2016

Criminal and Forensic Psychology

This module was organised and taught mostly by one lecturer who makes the subject very interesting. There were also some guest speakers who were invited in to teach us, these included ex gang members and practicing forensic psychologists. It was great to be taught by people who have real life experience in what they are teaching, who have not just carried out studies. I do not have any thing negative to say about the module. The first assessment was writing a personal statement as if you were applying for a masters.

This module is repeated over all three years, but increases in duration- 1st year is for 6 weeks, 2nd is for 8 and 3rd is for 10 weeks. This allows you to get hands on experience teaching within a variety of schools all over London whether public or private and with a variety of ages starting at nursery all the way to year 6. I really enjoyed this, despite being very worried beforehand. I through myself into it and therefore feel like I got the most out of it. However there was a lot of paperwork.
