Course review , 07/08/2017

Didn't really have too good a time in education, right the way up to year 13. Always felt like an outcast and like I had no real friends!

Its amazing what one year at Staffs has done for me already, not only are my friends amazing, I've came out of my shell and flourished! Finished first year with excellent grades and can't wait to head back for more.

Not to mention Phil Lee is quite possibly the best course leader and personal tutor you will ever have. Got nothing but love for you big man!!

I enjoy this course a lot as the content is fantastic for what I would like to do in the future. The content is difficult but that's why we do lots of reading. The forms of assessment is also good as it is not solely assessed on examinations, which are a weakness of mine. The teaching lacks in interactivity at times but is effective which is good.

I came into this degree with some broad experience in the media, having worked in both radio and film, so from my perspective, this degree is perfect for me. The best thing about this degree is that, by the third year, you get to specialise in one of the three disciplines. This degree will suit you if you want to go into the media, but are not sure what you want to be. This is coming from a first year Radio Production, Film Editing and TV Presenter student.

Course module review - Haematology And Transfusion Science, 29/04/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

A highly engaging module which examines in depth the pathology of the blood. In this module you will be assessed through a written exam which will cover the topics of Anemia, Blood Transfusion, Thrombosis, Hemophilia, Leukemia and immune Thrombocytopenia. This module will increase your knowledge of our own blood system, in combination with lab practicals you will be given the chance to examine blood smears to identify blood pathology.

Course module review - Safeguarding And Child Protection, 27/04/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

This can be an uncomfortable module to listen due to having to find out about child abuse however it is also interesting in the way in which cases are handled, the support out there for both teachers and parents, what schools do to safeguard children. This was a module in which researching and writing an assignment about was not difficult due to there being so much information out there. This module was well taught to me and we had more than enough information taught to us to complete hot assignment.
