Aberdeen University is a warm and friendly environment with everything you need in a close together campus. Although I never used a lot of the available facilities I know that they were good quality and efficient from peer reviews.

The university courses are fabulous, at least from my own experience with Zoology. Lectures are all recorded as of 2018 which makes studying even easier. Apart from the medical sciences buildings all of the university campus is situated close together which makes moving between classes easy and accessible.

Great! I really love it here even though not everything is perfect. I hope to spend my three more years here and then maybe also my post-graduate degree. No one knows!

Aberdeen University is great. The buildings are beautiful and make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time but have cutting-edge classrooms and technology. There is a vast range of clubs and societies so there will be opportunities for everyone.

My time at The University of Aberdeen has been an extremely fulfilling experience. I have just completed a 4 year BMus single honours in music, graduating with a first class honours degree. The campus is beautiful and the staff in the music department are all extremely helpful and welcoming, which helped to make everyone feel comfortable and valued in the music department. I have been involved with a number of music ensembles over the years and playing in ensembles has been extremely beneficial for me as a musician, which has in turn developed my solo playing. My percussion tutor has been fantastic throughout my time at the university, and she has helped to develop my playing by providing insightful ideas on how I can improve my misicianship.

This is a very pretty university, with good staff that help you a lot through out your studies. The architecture is nice as well, kings college looks so nice. The library has a lot of facilities that help students and it provides a lot of seats. During exams it is open 24/7 which is really helpful if you work all day then want to study at night. There are a lot of places to eat in the campus and around it.

I am based at the dental school of Aberdeen university. The teaching and the experience of seeing patients is the biggest bonus of studying at this school. The course has been structured in a way to allow lots of patient contact before we graduate thereby allowing us to graduate with confidence. However I believe there are quite a few areas that requires to be improved including the number of lecture rooms present.. there are only two lecture room present in this building as well as one quiet room which isn’t really quiet. There isn’t anywhere to study within this building. Further more options in terms of food is limited as there is just an aroma in the building and this closes at half 2 leaving us with no food after this time.

Aberdeen university is a good all round place of higher education. The atmosphere is good, the student union work hard for the overall student body, and clubs and socials are prevelant everywhere. The ciry itself is alright, overlay expensive, but student perks help. As a music student, the course was great, if a little lacking in actual lectures in the last two years.

Lack of proper student union was annoying. Good student support, and great medical school! Feedback not always timely and thorough. Good buildings and food and drink facilities. New Central Building excellent for freshers loving at Hillhead.

Library is nice and there are a lot of nice, quiet places to study on campus. The campus is usually clean, and the amenities available are reasonable.

Most of it is great. Ausa is not amazingly run however and some of the clubs have pretty dodgy politics

The experience at Aberdeen university can be quite mixed, I studied chemical engineering here. I'll split it into positives and negatives. Main positives -Nice campus, the campus is lovely and has some really nice architecture. -Good links with industry, I found particularly as an engineering student that the university has always interacted a lot with the local oil and gas industry. -Variety of places to study, the university has a range of different places to study, from the louder group working environments like Fraser Noble to the completely silent Taylor library. Main negatives: -Far away, the closest city to Aberdeen is Dundee, which is around 2 hours away. This means students at the university are confined to stay in Aberdeen during their time here. -No student union bar, one of the best things about being a student is being able to go to the union bar. I didn't realise how big a deal this was until visiting several union bars around the country, and realised having one vastly improves the quality of social life. -Badly scheduled term times, back when I was in first year the exams were after christmas, so there was plenty of time to get coursework done in the term time and revise for exams over christmas. Whilst this meant christmas was less enjoyable, I found out it was much better than the alternative, having exams before christmas. This means courses that are designed to have their exams after christmas have squashed all of their content into the first term, meaning a lot more pressure on students. This has probably been the cause of several drop outs I know about, and it is a shame because it has ruined some peoples potential careers.

The advantages and disadvantages of studying master in petroleum/Oil and Gas engineering at the university of Aberdeen : * advantages : 1- field practical software learning experience used in the oil and gas industry. 2- intense teaching program that make you produce your best. *disadvantages: 1- over caring about the class attendance. 2- more academic based learning and very few field learning .

I study geology and it is definitely one of the best in the UK. There are lots of places to eat on campus as the university hub has tonnes of restaurants/takeaways. The campus of the uni is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, legit feel like I’m in Harry Potter every time I walk through it. The student union could do more to organise events for students just starting uni, especially if they are not living within the hill head halls.

Aberdeen University was easy to navigate and had spacious study rooms in ever department. I particularly enjoyed caffes and student discount around campus. Library was very well accommodating us during exam periods with opening hours (24h) and e learning data base with so many article online you could almost never go library and access everything from your laptop. 24hours access to my building was also extremely helpful and useful.

The University is good and has some great facilities. The library is great and works a treat for studying. Some of the other buildings, however, are really hard to navigate and in many ways not fit for purpose. The teaching is good, especially as you progress through your degree and teachers provide good support. Societies are often not run too well due to lack of support from the student association.

I’m a big fan of the campus overall, since you don’t really have the feeling that you’re actually at a campus. The atmosphere is great and there are enough spots to relax and take a break from all the studies.

High quiality of learning, plenty of tutorials and lab projects. There is a free bus for students to move between two different campuses. Lecturers are very helpful.

Aberdeen Uni is honestly so much better than I thought it was going to be. They provide so much help and care to students who need it and are extremely efficient with everything they do. All staff are very helpful and nice and I always leave my lectures with a smile on my face. Aberdeen Uni is honestly great!

It’s a really good university, the only problem is the lack of organisation a lot of the tim however there is a wide variety of learning opportunities and facilities to cater to many needs.
