Overall the uni is okay but mostly the admin and party life lets it down. The admin team are always late at least for psychology and most the time we get work back late, exam timetables etc late. Also as it is in Selly oak, which is pretty high for crime, the nightlife is not as good as other unis

My university experience has been amazing so far. I have just finished my second year studying mathematics and it has been absolutely phenomenal. I am thoroughly enjoying my time in this beautiful campus and relish the opportunities I get from the careers network.

Campus is so so friendly and everyone is accepted for who they are regardless of background, wealth, sexual orientation or gender. It's a amazing student community and everyone on campus is always happy to have a chat or offer a helping hand

Some older building make it more difficult for disabled students however, the university is working to get this rectified.

The content of the first year modules is worth 100% because it gets you through logic and functional programming to higher subjects such as artificial intelligence and imperative programming languages such as Java. Additionally, you may choose a module outside this field such as Accounting, Mathematics, Psychology or other widening horizons modules!

Course module review - Critical Analysis in Management, 12/10/2018

Critical Analysis in Management

For a 20 credit module, this is a nice module to take as it solely requires you to be able to reflect well and to be able to give presentations when required. Most people get put off because of the numerous amounts of assessment stated in the handbook but do not let that sway your decision as it is a relaxed module, that you do not need to heavily study for.

'Lectures' were in the form of class discussions with one presenting group narrating a case study and other groups asking questions based on certain roles they play.

The structure of the module was very well planned out; it spanned across both semester 1 and 2 with Micro and Macroeconomics being taught in each semester respectively.

Lecturers were able to teach well and were helpful during 1-1 meetings to clear up any issues.

The assessment was an exam - multiple choice.
