The University of Birmingham

Good facilities. City has a good atmosphere. I study psychology and it is not worth £9250 a year. I get 5 hours of lectures a week and 2 hours of practicals, and minimal feedback on my coursework. My accommodation is off campus because they don't have enough on campus accommodation, and it is in English of the worst places to live as is hard to get to know people.

Very nice campus, lectures always happy to help with your issues. Timetable is sometimes a pain, but overall not too bad. Very good research facilities and you have a lot of opportunities to undertake work experience in the lab with one of your favourite lectures over the summer, while getting bursary for living costs.

great university! Excellent library, sports facilities and study spaces. Great student union with many opportunities to take part in extra curricular activities and societies!

Yeah the campus is very nice just taking some time for the green space to be finished but the lecture theatres are good, overall just good experience.

The lecturers are very supportive and get to know students well. This is despite a large number of law students. The law society, Holdsworth, is extremely social and well connected to law firms. The course was very well organised and career services offered are also well

The university and campus itself is beautiful. Have recently built new modern library and sports center. Very multicultural. Location is ideal. University has its own station 2 stops from town. Also right next to smelly oak where student houses are. First year halls are about 25 mins away walking. But a great experience. Night life is great. Best 3 years of my life

I've really enjoyed my time here having been studying at UoB for 4 years. I love that it is a campus uni as it gives a really student feel and it's great that the student village Selly Oak is just on the edge of campus. The facilities are good and there have been a lot of developments going on. However it does seem like it's more style over substance. For example the new library is lovely but seating is limited and it's too small for such a large university.

Apart from being a top University, Birmingham has a lot more to offer, such as a bustling city, amazing nightlife and hundreds of things to do. The facilities are very good on a wonderful green, massive campus.

Gorgeous campus with great facilities, always plenty of career and social events, the academics are always ready to help when necessary, so happy that I chose this uni

Beautiful campus with a great student union. Always a large choice of societies to join and other aspects of uni life both on and off your course which means you become fully involved.

My experience at University of Birmingham has been amazing. I love my course and have learnt so much more than expected in only my first year. My only complaint is regarding facilities, the library and study spaces just are not sufficient during exam season. Over all though, I think it’s great!

Love the university, such a nice atmosphere all the time! The lecturers and tutors are all really approachable and offer you all the support you need. The only thing I would change is the way you choose your modules, I think they should offer a two week taster session into the modules you choose, as I have been stuck in a module that I have disliked all year which makes it difficult to stay motivated.

Great teaching and learning experience with top facilities (the new library is awesome!). Love the global community and all the opportunities present from academic development to career guidance, not forgetting societies and sports. Lots of development work on campus currently so the next few years will still see lots of cranes and construction all around campus but 2020 onwards, campus will be looking top-notch!

The organisation of my course (pschology) was not very impressive and my dissertation tutor was particularly awful! The feedback I got for my work was minimal (with 90% of my assignments receiving no feedback at all) and on request of feedback I’d been told I couldn’t have any as too many people had asked for it and it couldn’t be done for everyone! I have loved my university experience and the opportunity to learn and improve my skills at the University of Birmingham, however the quality of teaching that I had I was extremely upset with as I am paying so much!

Excellent facilities and student support. Accommodation for first years is good. Lecturers not always the best but support always available if you look for it!

Great lectures, great location, very social and everything is handy/close and near by could use more food/restaurant options rather than instant food

Overall Birmingham is a famtastic university. It has one of the countries most beautiful campus and has a booming city life only a short ten minute train journey away. From sport to academics Birmingham competes at the highest level. Everyone here, students, coaches lectures etc are all very friendly and supportive. The most important thing at this uni is to remember if you don't ask you dont get. It has a wide range of opportunities, advice and support services but it does require individual effort to find out about them.

Depending on what subject you do, the university has different levels of opportunity. For English it lacks hours and overall tasks for you. However the tutors are excellent in their teaching. But need more to do.

The campus at the university of Birmingham is beautiful, the main area has stunning red bricks and so much grass and nature! The new gym that has just been built has good facilities however I believe might be a little small for the size of the university. It often feels overwhelmingly busy and I know that not everyone was able to get a membership because it reached max capacity My experience at UoB has been overall positive and I especially love the ability to be able to do a year abroad!

The campus is a beautiful green campus with a brand new library and an amazing clock tower (Good Old Joe). Being a red brick campus it brings out the classic side of Birmingham. The SU is a serious aspect of the university. They take opinions seriously and try their best to fight for student rights (except graduate ball ticket, it'll always crash). They have brand new sport pitches (rugby, 4g and hockey), new library and a few more new building on campus to keep up with quality. Overall, great university to look at and to enjoy the student experience. Regarding course, I studied Economics and the course is recognised widely however, relative to other courses the use of technology isn't transparent. I think they could improve the course specifically however, certain lecturers will always make it stand out! (Also, now have a 50m pool and new gym)

Campus is amazing so scenic and provides you with many Instagram opportunities ! The nightlife is amazing and there’s lots to do in the day too because you’re so close to the big city. But being on campus, in first year halls on the Vale or second/third year living is like a little uni bubble.

The university of Birmingham campus is currently under construction for a ‘greener’ campus. But prior to this the campus is stunning and is renown for its clocktower called Old Joe. The facilities are exceptional with a new sports gym, touchscreen computers and a library with an almost infinite amount of literature.

I have really enjoyed my university experience at uni of birmingham. My course has been very intellectually stimulating and enjoyable; I have been able to apply delivered content to my own independent study and interests outside of my course. The staff are very approachable and there is a lot of help and support offered through canvas and panopto (where lectures are recorded). The location is great, near main town but also feels like a student community in Selly Oak. Loved the last 3 years and made the best memories with great people!
