The campus and facilities are good I use the gym regularly, my course is excellent, tutors have been so understanding and there for us. The societies aren’t great, I wouldn’t reccomend coming to Brighton with societies being a main interest for someone and the fact that not all first years get halls isn’t great but the nightlife is amazing student nights on every night!! Never a dull moment even living in a house.

Staff on the PGCE science course are amazing, facilities are always clean and it is a smoke free campus which is great. Good toastie restaurant, the coffee shop in the main building is too small though and the queue gets very long.

This university is ok just there isn't much communication between staff and students. There is much of an effort made to help students make friends on campus. The lecturers are sometimes unfriendly which leads to an uncomfortable working environment.

Lots of spaces for the arts. Teaching is awesome. Course is very understanding of the distance I have to travel. And also the students are all hand picked very specifically making the time at the uni a better experience.

Beautiful small uni, located in eastbourne and lovely friendly staff make you feel welcome. Very easy to navigate around the uni. They will also help with your future career prospects

University of Brighton is a good uni. The Falmer Campus where my course is based is well equipped, even if it is relatively outside of Brighton itself - but there is a regular bus service and plenty of parking. With multiple cafes, a well stocked library with a lot of computers and even a large gym, Falmer campus is a great place to be a student. At Falmer theres a lot of open plan study space as well as more quiet private areas. With the ability to go study in unused teaching areas, Falmer offers a great place to work for your degree in.

A great community of people with a great background. The campuses are spread out over the city. There are a variety of unions to select from.

Campus and facilities are brilliant. People are all amazing, the versatility is incredible and it’s great being around people from all backgrounds and ethnicities. However, the educational communication between the university and students is poor. Also feedback for work and seminars is also slacking. Finally, there are some lecturers that do not remain independent in their personal views and can often make people feel separated because of this.

The University of Brighton is defiantly a special place. Here is where I made my life long friends, where I leanered so much more about my topic of study, grew as a person and became independent. The facilities are great, buildings are big and easy to get around. The staff are amazing, really helpful and caring and will get you through anything. The lectures are interesting and night life is amazing!!!

The campus looks great and is generally always clean and well presented. The staff can sometimes be disorganised and I have missed a couple of lectures due to this disorganization. I haven't had aby experience with the union or the careers service.

Campus Buildings requires improvement in some parts however work has started on this. Same goes for accommodation provision and standard.

The placements provided are far too far away and not suitable for students to travel to each day. The support services reply very promptly, and often supply positive solutions.

The campus has lots of buildings and they are creating more to facilitate all of the students which is good, however the student union isn’t all that great. There is only one bank, one shop which sells sandwiches and stationary and one student bean cafe. I have seen other universities which have bars and resteraunts within the student union for example the university of Warwick.

When I first moved to Manchester I nearly got hit by a tram three times in the first week. For large, metal objects they move remarkably quietly and if you're from a tramless town or city, you need to get used to them. They run all across the city centre and out to the north, south east and west of Manchester. At times, the Metrolink network can appear to be some sort of avant garde art installation as it is prone to the odd breakdown, and the ticket machines can be...temperamental. They're a good way of getting around relatively cheaply though.ou'll like it there. Loads of bars, independent shops, interesting places to visit and plenty of characters. You can basically wear what you like and nobody will really bat an eyelid. There's a big shopping arcade called Afflecks which has loads of great shops and boutiques selling the weird and wonderful , a cereal cafe and plenty of places you can get your new best mate's name tattooed on your bum cheeks.Massive building containing loads of bars, a cinema, and crucially, a branch of Nando's. Our handy guide to the entertainment mecca will help you out, but most bars in there run cheap drinks offers on any given night. A night out with a lid on. Thank you for the read. Now, where is my Heineken? I love that stuff!

Fantastic place, all the students are all very friendly and welcoming. The campus itself is full of very good facilities. There is also a really nice gym.

Brighton is such an amazing place to go and study! If you’re looking for dedicated teachers, great nightlife and culture, it’s the place to go. They don’t call it London on the Sea for nothing!

Great uni but room for improvements. All the campuses are split up so there isn’t much a of a ‘campus community’ feel. Nice lecture theatres and lecturers, however the organisation of the course and the assessment can be poorly organised.

I have great enjoyed my time at the University of Brighton and while I am eager to complete my degree, attending the university has been a truly positive experience. My BSc (Hons) Mechanical Engineering has challenged me to effectively manage my time to meet deadlines while also putting in the necessary hours on my own for exam preparation. While it hasn’t been a completely smooth ride, I have become stronger in the face of setbacks and look forward to getting my degree in the next few years. Outside of the classroom, I have also grown as an athlete as part of the Brighton Panthers American Football team. Formerly called Brighton Tsunami, we are now officially part of the university and will be playing in the South East Division 2 Championship game this weekend.

Travel costs – this is clearly going to vary from person to person, but you should check out www.nationalrail.co.uk for train prices, and if you will have to take a bus include that too. Base your calculations on having to be in uni five days a week, by 9am. Even if you are on a course that only has 8 contact hours a week, you can be in for five days a week. If you plan to drive, be aware that most universities have no free parking unless you have a blue badge, so you will probably have to pay for parking too.

Clear lack of student union. Quality of teaching is poor even for a lowly rated university. Courses lack organisation and structure.
