Compared to other unis pretty poor. Okay general night life but is Cambridge at the end of the day. Standards not too high but good fun

Student union put on decent events, cambridge workload then came in but people were friendly and did not fit the stereotype. Don’t worry about it.

Back in 2014 we didn’t really have a Freshers week, more of an afternoon. But things are much better now. Matriculation dinner is a great introduction to Cambridge life, but the main focus here is on academic work which is the reason we are here. NatSci is busy, lots of lectures and lab work. Looking at a 50 hour plus week, but all good fun.

Nice people and team at the college who made you feel welcome. Work started early but freshers was enjoyable

Limited events compared to other unis. Only few centrally organised events, all very individual to colleges.

Meeting new people was very easy as my college organised great events to integrate with people in my accommodation, subject and students in other years. The one issue was that within a week, there was so many activities organised, from social to administrative talks that there was not enough time to unpack my room properly, get prepared for term to start etc

The club nights were a bit disorganised and they weren't especially exciting as no one really knew each other, but other than that it was a nice introduction to life at uni.

There are lots of activities organised by the different societies so you do get to know everyone really well. However a lot of these nights are very wholesome ones and the nightlife in cambridge isnt the best so our freshers week isnt as wild as other unis. Also we only have freshers four days because term starts before a full week has past.
