Chester is a fantastic University and the facilities are good. The Student's unions bar has recently been updated which now looks great. I really enjoy my course and it offers me different opportunities including spending five weeks in Costa Rica for my Work Based Learning module. The staff in the department of my course are friendly and helpful. There are lots of different sports and societies that are offered by the students union, which provide a brilliant way of meeting new friends and trying out new activities. I really like the university of Chester campus and I feel that there is a strong sense of community. I would highly recommend the University of Chester to anyone who considers going to this University.

BA (Hons) Drama & Theatre Studies and English Literature (WQ43)
5.0 out of 5 stars based on 1 review

A grea t course that covers everything your expect it to, and more. Plenty of practical drama balanced well with very interesting theory and the freedom to devise and create amazing things with full support. English Lit covered all bases and gave very very insightful analytical skills that were used throughout both subjects.

BN (Hons) Child Nursing (B730)

My nursing degree is an incredible degree that I thoroughly enjoy. It is 50% theory with 2 exams each year (Anatomy and physiology and clinical numeracy) and then essay based assessment, and then 50% theory with 3 block placements throughout the year.
Even though I thoroughly enjoy my time at university studying a degree I am passionate in, I can sometimes feel as though I am secluded from the rest of my university peers as my course is a professional degree which is like studying whilst doing a full-time job.

BEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering (8H15)
4.0 out of 5 stars based on 1 review

The chemical engineering degree offered at Chester is good as they have excellent facilities, with amazing staff to run it, they also hold vital links to industry which is exploited in the second year when all students must take part in a months placement. The degree is currently going through the process to become accredited by the IChemE, and so cannot be given an excellent yet.

By far the most interesting module that I have studied so far in my 2 years at Chester. The lecturers are brilliant and go above and beyond for their pupils. Course material is interesting and there is always an engaging class discussion in which people ACTUALLY contribute.

I cannot fault this module

If you are interested in developmental and educational Psychology then I would definitely recommend choosing this module. This module covers a wide range of areas in education including special educational needs, bullying, shyness and social rejection. Each lecture is full of interesting research and theories some of which have been conducted by the lecturers. The assessment is fairly simple with one essay and exam.
