Brilliant university, very nice, recently redone campus. Lots of courses, with lots of choice in terms of modules. Very accommodating in terms of personal circumstances and a very personal experience.

Good facilities, well equipped studios, good infrastructure. The international student team is so incredibly supportive, I never imagined my university could be so much on my side. The overall feeling is that you matter and your opinion truly counts and is taken into account

My course, Child & Youth Studies is a fabulous course. I absolutely adore all my lecturers and they always make my lectures so interesting. The modules have been so enlightening and I felt they have all been relevant to my course itself. The fact we do a placement alongside attending University, is extremely helpful. We can put what we are learning in our lectures, into practice in our placement. This also aids our future as practitioners. The campus, I am based at Kedleston Road, is amazing! It has everything you could wish for, Subway, a Uni shop, Blackwell’s amongst a range of other things. This makes my experience all the more enjoyable. The students union is amazing. Although I’m not personally in any societies, all I have heard, is positive things about the union!

The course has provided relevant projects work and has challenged my knowledge surrounding my study area. The university course itself has been a fantastic experience and third year has enabled me to showcase my own work in a design show accessible to the public. The course has also entered us into live briefs and competitions and has prepared me for future job in industry.

Overall, it's not bad. I like the community and the main campus. The sports facilities are very good and affordable too. I'm not so happy with the organisation though. In some aspects it's very disorganised.

The facilities at Derby uni are incredible, they use Macs throughout the sites and there are laptops accessible in lessons where the classrooms don’t have macs. The library is beautiful and has everything you’ll need for your coursework and exams, but the downside is that it isn’t open 24/7, which is something students at other unis have access to. The staff are all really friendly and professional, however you need to treat them with respect to get it back. They won’t waste their time on students who aren’t committed to the course.

University of Derby no doubt have an excellent reputation. With the teaching being awarded a Gold says a lot about the University. They are exceptional and they support their students to the best of their ability.

Since I'm doing a double degree, I have lectures at the main Kedleston campus and Markeaton campus for art students. I feel like the main campus is definitely the heart of Derby uni as it has all the facilities such as shops, cafes, the bookstore, the library, etc. Markeaton campus could use some action to be fair because I've heard a lot of students saying that it feels a little empty. The student union is doing a great job in my opinion, I really enjoy quick up-to-date info the university's website, twitter and facebook accounts provide and the events they organize. Career services provide support as well which I have found very useful in the past, however, it's unlikely to offer you a quick solution - you normally have to wait quite a long time for companies to contact you, not sure what are the reasons behind this.

Cannot fault the buildings or locations of my campuses. The film course is fantastic, wide range of facilities and equipment which we take full advantage of. Teaching like no other at a professional, industry standard. Never would've considered another university!

The camp is an easy access and there is plenty of access for disabled students. Everyone is so welcome and is always willing to help. Teachers always make lessons fun!

There are 3 main campuses in Derby town, all easily accesible via a free shuttle bus. The main campus, kedelston road, where I study is large but compact making it easy to manouver and get around. I study zoology so spent a lot of time in the biology labs that were big, had lots of decent equipment in and modern. The zoology course itself opens up many doors throughout all different fields in zoology and the career support throughout the course is great. When starting the course; zoology, forensic science and biology are merged together which is my only big negative as the classes in first year were so huge, it was difficult to form friendship groups with other zoologists. One of the best features from derby is its student support network. This allowed me to feel confident in going to the uni in the first place, and also to ensure help with exams and general support whenever I needed it.

The library resources at the university are impeccable. The staff are always helpful, including the library and student centre staff. The student union is accessible and always open for staff and students to use. The facilities at the university are of a good standard, and caters for many different types of taste. The teaching staff for the most part are accessible, and helpful when asked. The sporting facilities which I use regularly are great, the football pitches are in top condition and provide a great platform for many sports. I use these facilities on a regular basis and the staff are very helpful when it comes to sorting events and social clubs. The university on the whole has allowed me to develop as a person, completing various challenges. Challenges such as teaching in Milan for a month and climbing Kilimanjaro for a children’s charity, I would recommend this university to most people and advice to seek as much help as possible as the staff are brilliant. I would like to see more help for people with difficulties, as some of my friends have struggled finding the most appropriate help. I only used the career services once or twice, I found them more than capable of helping with my career path. My experience in general has been a positive one and one I will remember for the future, I have gained many life skulks to develop myself as a person in the future The library resources at the university are impeccable. The university itself is very modern, has great laboratorys and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The student union put on many great events for freshers week as well as all year round to make sure students have the best social experience they can here. Communication between staff and students is very good, and personal tutor meetings are arranged as often as you like to check progress.

The uni is a nice place to be. There's always something going on for students and the local community to do whether it be to play sports or to have a tour around the uni with events going on. There's a lot of study areas in the uni and they are mostly free whenever the library is full. As for the library there are different sections from social to quiet study.

It's a good uni, there are 4 campuses and an amazing sport centre with a 4g pitch. The sports facilities are great and the shops in campus are good, continuing to develop more and more. It's a very inclusive university and staff have been helpful after I've been through a lot of things.

Teaching quality is generally of a high standard but need more social events planned by the university - not a great SU

The lectures, students and other staff are all so friendly, the facilities are up to a high standard too. During my course, there have been suggestions made to improve uni life and these have been taken into consideration and acted upon which I think is excellent.

Absolutely amazing University with a wide variety of help and care for students. Lecturers are always willing to help point you in the right direction and the student wellbeing centre is always there to support and help. The library has a vast array of resources and also displays this in the online learning area on Udo.

The university is a friendly place. Both students are staff are helpful. There are a wide range of facilities available including a gym and even a law court. The student union is fun and purposeful.

Im at the Buxton Campus of this university and I must say that this campus is neglected comparef to what the people at the main building recieve. Our facilities are poor and will not be improved to be at the same standard at the main campus

I’ve studied Education Studies with Special Educational Needs and Disability for the past 3 years now and I cannot fault the program at all. The university as a whole has a nice homely feeling to it, without feeling too much like you’re at school, as well as being a good distance from the city centre. My lecturers have been nothing but supoortive and accommodating whilst I have been at uni and have always offered me help and support when I have needed it. The uni always does its best to offer a range of events for the students in order to break away from the stresses of their course. Overall I’ve really enjoyed my time here at uni and I’ll be sad to leave when I graduate.
