I love how it’s a city campus. Everything is close together yet it’s in the middle of lots of convenient places/shops. The staff are all more than willing to help you. The careers centres is well advertised.

I love the teaching and learning facilities. The union however is the worst night out I've had in my whole entire life! The security staff are awful, they do not let people have fun. I understand they have to be careful, but they also almost always ruin my experience. The music is terrible and they offer no variety. I would not recommend coming to this university if nightlife is important to you. I went to university of Birmingham for one year and the nightlife was incredible. Chalk and cheese compared to the nonsense that the union offers here. That said the one day events such as Halloween and st paddys day are good but over priced.

BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences

The course, in my opinion, is structured to maximise the potential of individual students, by giving us practical experience in a wide range of subject areas within Biological and Biomedical sciences, in this way, you will always have something that you enjoy, for example is personally enjoy Plant bases Sciences, more than Antamoical sciences, but found it an interesting subject area none the less.

This is an interesting and useful course. It covers all the core modules.
The modules are based on assessments and exams. Good choice of option modules. I chose to study forensic medicine which was fascinating and interesting and taught by a doctor who works as a pathologist.
Good options to attend careers fairs and guest lectures.
Lecturers teach with passion and very knowledgeable in their field.
Most interesting course I have studied, difficult at times but valuable.

I love my course! We have a really interesting selection of modules, including some really hands on practical modules that don't just involve essays and exams. Simulation events are great fun and we have trips to Europe throughout the year too. The course is structured really well and the tutors are a great help and make the content really lively and exciting. We're taught so well how to master our writing skills so it gets to the point where we actually enjoy writing essays! I definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to have any clue what's going on in the world.

The module is a continuation from the module on the previous year. From the start this became a problem as the lecturer from this year (a different one) assumed our knowledge was far more extensive than could be expected. The amount and length of thr coursework was too much and this lecturer could not teach to save a life.

This module is very interesting and useful as part of the psychology syllabus at the university of dundee. The course is very useful for setting us up to carry out our dissertations in fourth year as it gives us the indepth step by step guide to carrying out most analyses in a way that is both interesting and useful.

I really enjoyed this module. I think it was a lot like higher biology though so if you haven't studied this you might struggle a bit at first but I think the teaching quality was good enough that even a beginner would understand perfectly. The only bad thing I have to say is that so far we haven't been told anything about the assessment for this module which is leaving us a bit unprepared.
