I love the university: the lecturers are mostly really good and the city is fantastic. My halls are right in the centre and only 10 minutes from lectures, it's fantastic.

Honestly rubbish. Overly traditional syllabus, uninspiring teachers, no faith in students. Gets a 2 stars for the facilities.

The campus is very large, all through the city centre of Edinburgh. Buildings are huge, old style too but nice. The sport facilities are really good, the cse is the one I use the most but it massive and caters for all. There is also other outdoor sport facilities too. My halls are really nice, post grad halls. Very moder and clean. Great location too. Not really involved too much in the SU but Edinburgh is a great city. However it is expensive so that is one thing to be aware of.

Definitely a lot of snobbery there exists in the university environment however the excellent teaching standards and international mix defies this. The only major downside I have found in my time at the university has been the failure to receive essays within the 15 day deadline and rather getting them back closer to a month after submission. The mental health and disability support, as well as councilling facilities have been excellent

The facilities at this university are top class. The Library is well stocked with all the books you need. The Student Union, Teviot, has a good atmosphere and the Nachos are out of this world. It has multiple bars, a relaxing space where you can chill with your friends. As a Geography student I feel I do not get enough teaching hours, the majority is self taught and have learnt to become an independent learner. The university itself is right in the city centre so therefore everything is close by, you are also likely to live in the centre of town which is really convenient.

I love my university. My course is great, I enjoy getting to study Religious Studies along side Primary Education. The student union is fab, we always go knowing that we are going to have a good time. My accomodation wasn’t what I asked for but despite that it isn’t as bad as expect, although building work on site has been rather annoying. On the whole though, I love being a student at the University of Edinburgh.

Campus is situated in the centre of Edinburgh, lecturers are enthusiastic about subjects and eager to get students involved. Students union is well run and has several sites , could make drinks a bit cheaper. Overall a great place to live and study!

The campus is sooo pretty and the main one is close to princes street in my opinion the best shopping street in the world. There is an endless amount of things to do around the city with hundreds of bars and clubs. Pretty much everywhere is walkable and if you have to get public transport it is so cheap, quick and reliable. The three union buildings have everything you need and the one is the oldest purpose built SU in the U.K. Which serves the best nachos EVER! There are so many sports clubs you can join, a great gym and a really helpful careers service offering soo many opportunities in terms of career events. I study law and athough there has been disruption due to strikes the teaching other than that was of a great standard and recorded lectures are a great tool to revise from or catch up if you had other commitments. All in all I've fallen in love with Edinburgh and the Uni and will probably stay here once my degree is over.

A few of my courses are disorganised, in terms of marking, feedbacks from markers, lecture venue, etc

Great university with tons of options for societies and sports. The campus is beautiful and centrally located in Edinburgh.

The campus is very conveniently located near to almost everything a student needs. The buildings are well built. There are lots of activites held every week and the night life here is quite interesting too.

The Uni is really beautiful, I love having my tutorials with a view of Arthurs Seat in the background! The main site is in a really lovely location. I like that nothing counts towards your final degree until the 3rd year, (as it's a 4 year degree). The library is also great.

Edinburgh University is a great uni. The facilities including sports are great- the gym on pleasance being notably good ! The library is also particularly big. Everyone is welcoming and the societies are great

Edinburgh is a University located in one of the most bustling and culturally vibrant cities in the world. It’s internationally recognisable quality of teaching is present every day in both engaging lectures and tutorials led by tutors who really have a passion for their subject area. There are countless societies to engage with, and the nightlife here is both varied and lively. I couldn’t recommend it more.

The campus is extensive, some faculties are located further than others. It can be a little tough to figure your way around, but google maps is your friend. I'd say that the facilities are quite good; the University tries to be accessible and comprehensive in its amenities for students. The careers service has a great website to be informed and apply to various positions, as well as appointments for a one-on-one chat with its consultants. My experience here, as an international student, has been quite good, despite a few hitches here and there.

Because it has a huge number of students overall, I am able to meet people from all over the world. The classes, tutorials in particular, are interesting in general, although more teacher involvement could be nice. I’m not liking the strikes though.

The campus is an architecturally stunning place in the centre of the city. There are loads of really exciting social places both within and surrounding the university, making Edinburgh a vibrant place to be a student.

Lots of course choices but poor support for students from personal tutors. The disability service are excellent and I meet with a mental health mentor once a week. My exams are in smaller rooms so it is less anxiety inducing and the library is open 24 hours.

The organisation is really, really poor. This is due to the university not providing crucial funds and staff in the right places and treating the University first and foremost as a business, rather than a place of education. The academic staff and the support staff are second to none. The teaching is absolutely fantastic and you are taught by leaders and experts in the field. The dedication and effort of the support staff is awe inspiring, especially as their services are frequently criticised. This is not their fault, as the work they do is fantastic, the university just need to invest in these student facing areas and scale these up before they start scaling up student numbers that they can’t cope with.

The city is wonderful but if I'm honest the university couldn't care less about its undergrad students- we're just an income with which to fund their research. Biology lectures are poorly organised and often dull. Some modules have contact hours split between the two campuses, which are a forty minutes walk apart. Main library is always packed.

Exceptional lecturers. Stunning campus. My course is engaging and challenging. I can’t fault anything about Edinburgh university. The general feel here is second to none and I’ve studied at many institutions.
