We are getting a new gym by next year but this year it has been a struggle. I play basketball and wr have tovshare 5 hours of training between 2 teams (which is not close to enough) but other teams get higher treatment and can be in the gym pretty much when they want but we get kicked out asap. Came to the point where we come to the gym at 7-9am because it is unused and its the only time where we aren’t made to pay extra for it

The structure of my degree is good. I chose it due to the gender studies element. However I believe I could do as many gender studies modules, if not more, from doing a straight sociology degree and choosing gender based free electives. Despite this, the way the lecturers have tied together also linked all the modules is great and nothing seems out of place. The methodology modules are dull and I believe that in my foundation year (which I did last year), the English language modules should have been means tested, as they were way to easy for some people.

Doing a Degree in itself is an experience. I have seen the highs and lows of university life. My course has been changed a lot over the past few years, this means we have been almost test dummies for this new programme. The teaching and Content of the course itself is great but because of how new the course is they are unsure if certain assignments match and what years they should be done in. This has meant if a assignment was scored low by the whole class that assignment will be altered and changed for the next year. In my opinion this is wrong.

Course module review - Microeconomics, 03/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

A course that offered a great summary of some of the most important tools of microeconomics, it covered:
General Competitive Equilibrium, Welfare Economics, Game Theory, Information Economics and Risk and Uncertainty.

The course was well taught and it offered sufficient depth into a variety of micro economic topics whilst still offering awesome breadth.

Course module review - Psychology of Learning and Working, 14/02/2017

Really enjoyed the module. The Lecturer showed passion for the course and proved that if he has dedication to the course that the students will aswell. Content of the course involves learnimg Statistics with programmes such as SPSS as well as stat key. The main content of the Module is based around experiments and learning how to conduct one which in my opinion can be redundunt as most will have done thid at A-Level.
