Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire moors and home to a massive 31,906 students, the University of Leeds is renowned globally for its excellence in teaching and research. A Russell Group university, Leeds has consistently been voted in the top 10 universities by the likes of The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and the Guardian University Guide 2019. Claiming the top spot in 2017, a national student survey found that 89% of final year Leeds students said that they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of their course that very same year.

The university offers students the choice between over 300 clubs and societies including the infamous "Stitch 'n' Bitch" and the ever-increasingly popular Quidditch. The clubs and societies range from academic, cultural, religious, sports, volunteering, political, outdoor and arts, ensuring everyone at Leeds finds something they love.
Having campus just a 10-minute walk away from the City Centre, students are able to enjoy a shopping centre, a cinema and a range of restaurants when they need a break from studying.
Every year, Leeds University warmly welcomes new students to a buzzing Freshers fair complete with induction classes, welcome events, an introduction to clubs and societies, and the chance to explore the vibrant city.
Leeds university is great, from the outstanding staff to the amazing facilities, spaces and people on campus. The campus is great, everything you need is close together and a short walking distance from one another. The course is not as I expected it to be, with less focus on what I would have personally liked to have done, but I understand the need for the course to be like this and does get better. The student union is great, many good shops and nightlife events, only downside is the hoodies should be free for students. My experience so far has been great and I look forward to another year in my home away from home.
The union is the most welcoming that I have ever come across. The University really cares for its students, from offering free breakfasts dufing exam season, to free yoga and wellbeing workshops.
