Study psychology and I'm a final year, the campus has some stunning features, the Victoria building and Abercrombie square and some not so stunning, the erb for one. The course is very different to what I expected with many of the same topics being regurgitated year after year. Not learnt much about clinical psych which was what I anticipayed. Careers service is hit and miss depending on where your career direction is.

The course is a little unorganised but he content you learn is good and varied, there are many careers appointments advertised to you and these are useful when planning your career

Would not apply to this university for any medicine course if I were you! I applied for vet med and my application was declined because I didn't fill out a work experience form, may I add which they never actually sent me! This university is clearly so disorganised and I would not like to study such a complex course here given they can't even get the admissions process right never mind getting you a degree!!

The University of Liverpool is a good uni - it is in a great city which meets the needs of anyone choosing to study there. The Psychology department is average - I feel the course structure is good as it opens you up to a whole new area of psychology that you may not know about including Forensic Psychology or the use of psychology in stroke patients. However, the teaching is only satisfactory, although there are some excellent ones, the majority merely read of the powerpoints and refuse to help you if you email them.

There is a combination of lectures and practicals delivered by staff who are experts in their fields. Although inevitably a very difficuly subject to study, the resources provided are excellent and communication and support between students and staff is effective.

Course module review - Philosophy of Language , 09/03/2017

This topic could be an interesting one but you are bombarded with information and it is not formed correctly. There is very little help to guide you through the difficult material and it is not always easy to find the course content. The exam was a mystery until the day itself and I believe it was made a lot more difficult than it needed to be.

Course module review - Immune System H & D, 22/05/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

The tri-weekly lectures were arranged in a logical order, and many were taught be research staff specialising in those areas. The material covered was engaging and not beyond comprehension, although some aspects were complex and required extra attention when it came to revision. Assessment in the form of a 2500 word essay, where students were able to apply for essay titles that interested them. I found this module, and even the assessment, incredibly enjoyable and engaging - one of my favourite modules from my entire degree. It began the development of my interest in global health

Course module review - Jurisprudence, 21/05/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

I took this module as an option in my final year of study. As opposed to learning substantive law such as criminal, contract, tort etc. We delved into the realms of legal philosophy considering the views of legal positivists and natural lawyers and tried to reconcile their views to understand why law is how it is. I thoroughly recommend this module for anybody who really cares about law
