It is a busy environment with it being in the city centre, lots to do, with lots of places to socialise with friends but also study. The course is difficult but manageable not too many hours. Some of the buildings need updating

Great teaching. Always events going on around the city. Our cohort wasnt too big so our tutors got to know us personally so we had more support

I love the city (Liverpool) and all of its independent businesses, character and all the things to do. Uni of Liv are understanding with regards to recognising hard work and ensuring financial security for those coming from small combined income families. They provide bursaries to a lot of students and there is extra incentive to do well in your A Levels as they dish out a few grand to those who work hard/achieve As. The Guild itself have a load of societies but they don't do much in terms of a student union/nights out. The medical school have a low student satisfaction but have great mental health services and student support for those who need it. I wouldn't say the admin side/organisation within the Med school is very good but then the counselling services they provide are invaluable.

Absolutely amazing university! Offer so much support to new and existing students! Couldn’t of picked a better university! Personal tutors offer so much support and love to students who are doing hard, stressful degrees such as nursing and need the help!

The campus is so easy to find and very convenient for those commuting as it is less than a 10 minuite wall from lime street. All staff I’ve experieinced are friendly and always happy to help aswell as extremely understanding. The student union or the guild is wonderful and full of ways for you to get indulged in university life.

My experience of Liverpool University is a very positive one. I have been a part of the scholarship scheme and have felt well supported coming from a background where may of my friends where not going university. The campus holds a number of good events for example in November I am going to see George Ezra. The University has always focus on inclusive of their students. The guild of students has non-gendered toilets which are important for transgender students. There are also opportunities to hold things such as bake sales for chosen charities.

I am not sure if it is the University orders British education and general but I am less impressed with the quality of degrees in education coming out of the university period I feel like we are preparing students to memorise rather than to critically think

The facilities of the univeristy are excellent with up to date technologies across the different courses. The buildings are well maintained and there are many facilities available for use including social areas, study areas and places for students to hold events and societies. The student union is amazing, with brilliant support mechanisms it is extremely student orientated with students voting on who runs the union. The union provide advice and support in many aspects, including but not limited to, financially, starting or parttaking in societies, organising fundraisers and wellbeing support. My course is nursing and it is extremely busy and intense at times however all lecturers are supportive and are available for advice as needed. They support us throughout our long intense placements and stressful exam periods and have an open door policy, very friendly and approachable. The two libraries are distributed around camps and are very accessbloble to students with great materials and up to date books. They have study spaces however, during exam season it is often difficult to find a place to study so there may be possible need for more study areas. The campus generally has many other facilities available for students including banks, shops and food chains, pubs to socialise in and advice organisations.

The student experience at Liverpool is second to none as a cheap and up and coming city with plenty of activities, bars and clubs. There is plenty of cheap housing and quality of life is better than most universities. Depending on your course, quality is varied.

I had one of the best university experiences in Liverpool. As it is home to three universities, the night life was amazing and the city is full of students. The University campus was amazing, with two libraries and a guild for the students. The eating places on campus were cheap and it was a quick walk to Bold Street/ town.

The University offers extensive programmes including a year abroad. They also offer a very helpful student Union. Only downside is support available on course including job opportunities.

Brilliant university. Access to lots of information and support for all aspects including education related or even personal related topics. Great structure to lectures and sessions.

Great university, I am going to miss my time here. The only thing I would say is that for subjects like ecology and marine biology, don't take the life sciences modules as lecturers often skip over relavent content they have taught in another life science module that isnt available for you to take as an option.

The library is good even if it is getting a bit crowded. The campus itself is pretty shame some of the buildings ruin it.

There isn't much on in the student union (unlike UoSheffield) and the gym isn't open for free (like UCLan). However, the libraries are huge and well-kept with many laptops available to borrow and use. The city is amazing with nice views in the summer. If you drink you will love Liverpool - if you don't it's mediocre.

The University of Liverpool is a lovely campus situated just a 10 minute walk away from the city centre. The main Victoria Building is the famous 'red brick' building and houses a museum The university has two main libraries - the Sydney Jones (for arts and humanities students) and the Harold Cohen (for science and medical students). Both libraries are equipped with a wealth of books, facilities and open 24 hours. However, they suffer from being extremely busy during exam time and having poor temperature regulation! There are a number of state of the art new lecture theatres and learning spaces that have been opened up in the past few years, which provide a better environment to learn in than previously. Also, the new Guild (student union) is fantastic and has plenty of space to chill, as well as a wealth of decent food options - the burritos are a favourite. However, the disappointing lack of club nights there leaves a lot to be desired. After Freshers week, there only seems to be around 3 more nights there during the year which is poor compared to other unis like Sheffield. The gym is extremely well equipped and state of the art, but seems to be a rather unpopular choice due to its extremely high price (which is apparently subsidised for students...) This is unacceptable considering that LJMU students get a free gym membership, and most gyms in Liverpool city centre such as The Gym and PureGym are a lot cheaper anyway.

They have got range of events and activities but I believe this can be more. They also need to sometime host year group assembly events so we could all meet up with our year groups that do other courses.

Buildings and lecture halls are adequate though the math department should receive more funding. The support from lecturers varies depending on the individual, some are more caring, others indifferent. Study materials are provided online on a blackboard portal, tutorials are sometimes helpful if utilised effectively. Communication with lecturers via email can be hit and miss, some with fast response rate and some who appear to ignore you. There are many places to get advice and guidance if needed. The counselling service is available but often oversubscribed with long waiting lists. Student life itself seems decent enough, many events and activities often ongoing throughout the year and many clubs to join. The city is relatively inexpensive to live with a large range of student accommodation to choose from, many luxury city centre apartments at affordable prices. Shopping and restaurants are very good.

Most of the halls are beautiful clean and all seem very modern. There's always somewhere you can go on a night out for very cheap any day of the week. All my mates find the courses really interesting and you're able to make friends from all over so quickly.

Great campus, great course. Timetable sucks! Buildings too old and too hot. Library and facilities are good.
