Really good modern facilities, with accommodation within walking distance of all learning buildings. Only issue is the sports fields and facilities are so far away that they involve either getting a lift or public transport.

The nightlife in Newcastle is spectacular, bars such as ‘house of smith’, ‘bonbar’ and ‘digital’ hold very good student events which are of a reasonable price. I would highly recommend.

The organisation of the course could be made a lot better. Assignments and exams seem to be bunched together so you find yourself having to revise for 4 or 5 modules all at one time. Luckily many of the topics overlap so you don't have to remember too much information.

The assessment forms could be more varied, only one presentation is required which doesn't really help in developing the "soft" skills. Although nerve-wrecking they are valuable as being able to speak in public and present are valuable skills.

You don't actually ever learn anything the teaching is incredibly vague and all about changing the way you think about art. I'm in 2nd year now and we've had no guidance over what work we should be making or how much work we should have you just kind of have to judge it yourself. The art history staff are amazing and give you loads of help but the standard fine art tutors are generally just there to be arsey about mess and your attendance.

I chose to do business studies at Northumbria because of the excellent reputation it has as a business school. The facilities are great, the business school itself is the most modern part of the whole university with loads of computers, modern class rooms and large lecture theatres. I enjoy my course and modules and the option to take a year abroad or placement in your 3rd year I think is a stand out opertunity that this course offers, Northumbria has great links with university's abroad. The downside to my course is that it is very much over to you.

Course module review - Animation 2, 02/05/2016

I like this particularly but mainly because I like drawing a lot. I prefer to draw on papers rather than on a computer. For me I normally draw whatever I want on a piece of paper first then scan it into my computer and redraw by using my work as reference. I know it takes up more time but I can manage my time well and I enjoyed the process.
