BSc (Hons) Criminology And Forensic Studies

I honestly cannot recommend this course enough. From the moment I first looked at it I thought it looked brilliant. Having just finished my second year of study I can say it is even better than I thought it would be. It has had it's dull parts (hello researching criminology & questioning criminology) but the majority of it has been so interesting. First year was a little more dull than second year but I'd put that down to choosing my own options in second year which allowed me to do more of what I love.

BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology

My course, at least in the first year, is assessed mainly by coursework which I like because the feedback is regular and helpful. Personally, I have found some of the work set quite challenging but still manageable. The teaching could be better as the lecturers mainly read off the slides of the presentations, but my personal tutor has been great in helping me seee in to my first year at uni.

BA (Hons) Accounting With Finance

The first year of my degree is broken down into several different topics, law, maths, management accounting, financial accounting, economics and toolbox. I believe these have been a very good mixture as they have enabled me to learn a lot more on a broader scale than I originally anticipated. The general structure is to have 1 lecture and 1 seminar for each topic per week, other than toolbox which is just 1 seminar. I think this has been a good structure as it enables you to put into practice what you have learnt in the lectures in the seminars.

Course module review - Print Media, 14/09/2015

Print Media

The way the lecture was taught didn't really attract my attention and started with a history of how print media sources came about. The module didn't excite me in anyway. If you love magazines then this is for you, but the fort half of the year included the theory behind print with 6 months on novels and literature. The second half of the year was more enjoyable with magazines (although I didn't particularly enjoy) and finishing with just three weeks on advertising which was my most enjoyable section.
