Jester's is possibly the greatest place on Earth . The Campus is kept clean and tidy. The lecture theaters are good but too hot and in building 54 the rows are too close together for normal people to fit in the seats. The course is good so far. The lecturers seem commited to thier jobs and know what they're talking about. We don't have any January exams which is perfect for us...not other students though. So the university as a whole is amazing

Really fantastic uni and city - everyone is helpful and friendly! As a third year biomedical scientist I have little free time these days, but the social life in the first couple of years was 10/10. Can’t beat stags for a pint after your last exam.

Big downfall is price considering still paying for printing, very few contact hours, limited study space, no trips
Otherwise content and module variety great, was mostly very well taught.
Wish class sizes had been smaller or more group work in first year in order to socialise better with cource.

The content of my degree is highly interesting, making learning enjoyable including practical applications in laboratory situations. However, there is a lot of content which often feels a little too much to learn properly before the exam period and we are always learning right up until the last minute.

Course module review - Research Methods and Data Analysis III, 11/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

Although not everyone is a fan of statistics, I found that this was my favourite module in my second year of university. The lecturer is excellent, goes over and beyond to help students, her examples to understand the concepts better are always helpful and sometimes even funny. I really enjoyed this module.

Course module review - Logic, 09/03/2017

Logic is by far my most enjoyable module. its seen as the link between maths and philosophy. It is very complex and mathematical for a philosophy degree so most people either love it or hate it. The lecturer is a very funny and laid back but unfortunately some people think they arent being pushed enough whilst other think they are being pushed too far. However, results are normally in the 80's or 90's due to the quality of the module.

Course module review - Knowledge and Mind, 09/02/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

Loved the lecturer, Genia Schbäumsfeld, makes the effort not to just read off of the slides and gives a lot of insightful ways of interpreting the text and says points in intellectual ways which is good for the essays. The main text studied was Descartes Meditations which was great but would've preferred more texts covering the epistemological branch of philosophy but really enjoyed the meditations regardless. Form of Assessment of 3 1000 word essays was perfect and loved how there was no exam based assessment.
