Campus is great, lots of nice green areas and the student union pub is good for a pint between lectures.

Student pub is a bit pricey and is too small in proportion to the number of students who go to SOTON. The university jubilee gym is also quite small with pricey gym fees for students whilst having ridiculous times taken for repairs to be made to the machines (~1month). At one time there were 8 treadmills broken in a row.... Mathematics at SOTON is fairly enjoyable but what makes it fun is doing mathematics with friends to solve a mutual problem. However some of the lecturers at quite incapable at captivating their audience resulting in a significant number of people not attending the lectures. One lecturer even made a joke, after a class test, about how for once so many students were actually here for once, which was very numerous. Overal I do enjoy the course but I think the university needs to conduct a lot of research to improve its customer experience.

Always clean and buslting. Library is either too hot or too cold but the atmosphere is always work focussed.

up to date and sufficient facilities. Enthusiastic lecturers and a lovely green campus. Accommodation is really nice and the city has a great night life

I think the university of Southampton is a great choice and no one will regret coming here are there are such a great variety of options suited to many different personality types.

Great campus facilities with a 5-star library. Lecture theatres are modern although the sports facilities are overpriced and in need of development.

Love the halls, campus & people, friendly atmosphere and amazing resources for my course. The city is an awesome place to live.

Soton is great because it’s actually so good. The bibliotecca is amazing as well. The campus is fantastic and I think I only need a few more characters

I am studying English, the teachers are really great and the facilities are nice too. My fellow students are nice and friendly people, I haven't joined any societies yet, but I would like to start salsa dancing from next semester. The timetabling team is really annoying because they change the timetable til almost the last week before the semester starts so basically it is difficult to plan anything really in advance, for example, a part time job. Because I arranged my hours just 3 weeks prior the last changes to the timetable thinking it is finally set and it wasn't! So I had to rearrange everything which was quite inconvenient and my timetable changed drastically! Also you need to get lots of books which adds to an extra 100+ pounds per semester on expenses.

Facilities are okay, however teaching and student care leave a lot to be desired. Bad communication from lecturers. Campus is good, lots of places such as Costa and pret to do work, although not a lot of library space

Great facilities for language students! There is lots of space in the library so even when there are exams you are still able to find a seat!

Absolutely love the university, the staff are all extremely welcoming and keen for their students to excel. This is backed up by all the student support members from the SU. As a fresher hall are great and the SU puts on a great 2 weeks of freshers. The sporting opportunities through intramural or inter-uni are outstanding (especially the widelane sports facility). Southampton’s campus is kept in great condition, great food services and a great city wide uni bus service (especially as it’s free for freshers). Finally the city of Southampton is extremely welcoming for students. This is coupled by lovely open spaces, great shopping and a great night out wherever you go. Whether it’s spoons, Jesters or Sobar for a cheap night, Switch so see a great DJ, or Oceana to get a bit too friendly on the dance floor, the night life in southampton is 2nd to none!

Southampton University is generally a wonderful place to study; nice campus, numerous libraries for many different subjects, and helpful lecturers and assistants. The sports facilities have recently been upgraded and are easy to use with membership for ActiveNation included.

Good campus but small at WSA and can be isolated. Graphic Arts course is insanely good and we get our own massive studio spaces which really helps our work.

Great library facility and overall campus. Student halls and houses are either too far from the city or campus. Bus pass is very pricey. Gym membership changed to be over expensive. Overall lectures are t value for money. Lectures don’t seem to care. Student union is awful. No good events. Freshers is poor and very very very overpriced. External companies are the only good nights. Great careers advice

Great facilitating campus, a good course with amazing links to indstry to help employability. Student unions is good for both well being and a good time out. Carrers has it's hand in all the pots to provide a jobs for anyone. Amazing experience so far, so many friends

Great people, helpful lectures who are always free to give an explanation. Campus is facilitating and fills any needs by the student. Good course with very good industry connections. Amazing experience

Nice place, good union and nightlife, but supporting services need improvement. Overcompensation for both LGBT and Foreign students uses up a large amount of university resources

The university facilities itself are not great, but the surrounding nightlife and societies compensate. Aswell as the Hartley library and few academic staff

Very good university, lots of things available such as clubs and societies and the support is pretty good

Although the campus is modern and colourful, the student union I feel offers very little to me. My course is the biggest problem aswell, with very poor facilities and support systems

Great people. Great experience. Couldn’t be a better place. Good laughs. Great shags. Free condoms would help avoid the STDs
