Teachers take time and care about every student. The level of teaching is very high! I also enjoy the fact that the town is very small and easy to get everywhere.

The University is spread around the town which is beautiful and very quaint. It is a small town and quite insular but international at the same time. I study Arabic, German and English. I find the lectures useful at times but they can be a bit irrelevant.

The university is well situated with good travel connections despite its remote location. It’s teaching quality is superb, it’s staff helpful and class sizes very small allowing excellent interaction. The module choices are varied enabling an array of topics to be covered.

Everything is really close walking distance, with a friendly and close-knit atmosphere. The course variety and flexibility is amazing, with lots of different modules to choose from regardless of chosen degree path. The student union is great, with a variety of events and opportunities each week.

As an educational experience, I have found my time at St Andrews to be outstanding. The town is beautiful and the traditions are great. My only negative comment is that often I find the university and the events here elitist, with events often costing £50+!

The halls are disperate and some are over a mile away from the main facilities building, the teaching is good however it’s evident that younger staff and PhD students especially are pawned off on first and second year courses which leaves a lack of basic knowledge in th first instances. There are very little facilities in terms of shops etc, couldn’t even buy an umbrella today.

The sense of community in this town is exceptional. The density of student-run activities and attractive architecture is unparalleled, and the approachability of my lecturers is high.

Great staff and community. The interconnectedness of the student body ads to the sense of community withing this relatively small seaport University town. Most tutors and lectures are fairly good if you make the effort to attend. Highly enjoyable experience in most areas overalll. Rate 8/10 on yelp , b/c lack of humus in hall food.

Lovely campus which is based in the town hi the seaside and St. Andrews golf courses.Lots of student support on the course. Sport facilities are good with many different teams and societies to join for all abilities. Student union is good but drinks are quite pricy.

The whole university is very compact so everything is a short distance away. The town itself is beautiful, and most of the uni buildings are lovely too. The gym is really good and there are so many sports teams to join in with it's hard to keep track! The library is a bit small and doesn't open 24/7 but there are plenty of other places to study as well and some do stay open 24 hours.

Our Student Union is very exclusive if you compare it to other universities especially because we are not a part of the NUS. Our Principal is very rude and dismissive of students when they do not agree with her or share the same views which I think is unacceptable. The town itself is wonderful but the lack of spaces in the library is appalling. You never get a seat in the library so you end up studying back in your flat. The professors themselves are usually very nice and caring.

It is good. The facilities are all top notch and the teaching is up to a good standard. The nightlife can be a bit repetitive but there are some nice bars if you are looking for a change. I would recommend it to a friend looking for a more intimate university.

Student accommodation clean and secure, always someone around if you have problems. Great campus, everything within walking distance and allows time to get to each class. Very well trained academic staff in the geography department, willing to help with any of your queries and very quick response time. Good provision of field classes to gain real life experience of working in the field. A great range of topics covered to develop interest in wider areas. A range of activities provided in the curriculum, allowing you to develop many skills for your career ahead. Good disability department, provides extra help when needed and never judgemental. Very fair marking and great feedback on coursework. Overall good uni experience.

The town is beautiful, the staff are adorable and do a lot to make sure you are feeling okay with your work. The nightlife isn’t like any other, if you’re looking to stay out until 6am you’ll have trouble in the town where everything closes at 2am.

Small town with lots of friendly students- not a great deal to occupy your time with other than studies and good pubs.

Lovely place to study. The libraries are full of rare documents, very complete. There are various accommodations so adapted to everyone. The surrounding is full of surprises (landscape...). The student union is amazingly big, we can easily find a suitable society !

The University has excellent facilities, staff and is situated in a great town. The town is small, as is the University. This is good as you don't get lost in the crowd. There are plenty of societies to make friends and overall its a great place to be. It has a world renowned reputation being one of the oldest universities in the world. As a result, the research ongoing here is also world class. There is a varied life in town driven by a very varied student body, with alot of international students helping make St Andrews special.

Amazing university. Situated in a quiet historic Scottish town. Small size guarantees its support to every student tailored to their needs.
