Nightlife

Stirling has everything you could hope for in a brilliant student city with the nightlife to match. We've always got something on in our award-winning Students' Union, from guest DJs like BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills and performances from Cascada, to comedy nights and ceilidhs. You'll find plenty of nightclubs, pubs and quirky music venues across Stirling, and Glasgow and Edinburgh are both within easy reach for a night you'll always remember.

Halls of Residence

Looking for the perfect place to call home? We've got you covered. Our range of secure and affordable accommodation includes over 2,000 rooms both on campus and in easy-to-reach off-campus residences. New students are given priority when applying for accommodation and you'll be guaranteed an offer of a place in your first year. In 2017-2018, accommodation costs ranged from £84-£166 a week and included utilities, Wi-Fi, insurance and bed linen.

Location

Stirling's 330-acre campus is regularly described as one of Europe's most beautiful. Everything you'll need is just a 10-minute walk apart from a bank, pharmacy and bookshop, to restaurants, cafes, a golf course and our own 18th-century castle. We're just a five-minute bus ride from Stirling's bustling city centre, a short walk to the historic spa town of Bridge of Allan and less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh for a brilliant day out.

Clubs and societies

Here at Stirling, our students love to explore and share the passions. That's why we have more than 70 societies and 50 sports clubs to choose from, including our three award-winning student media outlets. We've got clubs celebrating live music, politics, art, business, lightsaber skills, volunteering, musical theatre, languages, video games, a Quidditch team and more. Can't find anything you fancy? We can even help you start your own club.

Freshers' week

Our award-winning Students' Union always goes out of its way to bring in the biggest and best entertainment for a Freshers Week you'll never forget. From BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills and Cascada, to live dinosaurs, quiz nights with Shaun Wallace, drag bingo and paint parties, we've got something for everyone. We'll also give you a Scottish welcome with a traditional ceilidh, alongside a brilliant programme of activity fairs, welcome events and more.

It is overall a good uni. Somethings could be doing with being renovated. Also there could be a lot more seating space for people to do uni work as there are some days you could be in uni and there will be no seating whatsoever wether that be in the library, atrium or other spaces. Another issue is the parking there is never enough spaces after a certain time which could result in students being late for class. More parking needs to be provided not being took away as it has in previously
