Stirling's 330-acre campus is regularly described as one of Europe's most beautiful. Everything you'll need is just a 10-minute walk apart – from a bank, pharmacy and bookshop, to restaurants, cafes, a golf course and our own 18th-century castle. We're just a five-minute bus ride from Stirling's bustling city centre, a short walk to the historic spa town of Bridge of Allan and less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh for a brilliant day out.

Clubs and societies

Here at Stirling, our students love to explore and share the passions. That’s why we have more than 70 societies and 50 sports clubs to choose from, including our three award-winning student media outlets. Lovely campus! Halls are an excellent choice for first years - with each accommodation being in close proximity to each other it's a fantastic way to meet new people! I'd felt at home within a few days of moving in. The Union organise a number of events to occupy your time within the first week which are good fun! The campus itself is very picturesque, such a nice place to stroll around with the loch and castle grounds. A range of courses are on offer, with flexibility being a key factor to my choosing of this University. A range of subjects can be combined and the ability to choose an array of different topics in first and second year allows you to expand your horizons - see which best suits your interests. Tutors are willing to help at all times and are only an email away. A number of student services are also available which allow for extra help which is an added bonus. Clubbing is good fun, especially on student nights where drinks and tickets are cheaper! All in all I reccommend this University if you're looking for a tight-knit community (small uni so you will recognise a lot of people) - and lovely surroundings.

Stirling has a bit of a strange rep in Scotland, but it doesn't deserve even half the negativity it gets from natives around here. The place is ideally located, has good travel links and a pretty solid on-campus atmosphere. If you don't enjoy the company of people, there's a huge expanse of woodland and lochside to walk around in and explore.
