I would say that the best part of strathclyde uni is the courses it provides. My course is renowned worldwide for being one of the best in the world so I am likely to get a good job straight out of uni. With regards to being a student, so far the union has been very helpful. Any financial issues I have had, have been met with good advice and support. I am a member of only a couple of societies which tend to be mostly drinking rather than the sport or hobby. However, there are so many groups that I am sure you will find one that suits you if you take a proactive approach and look for a society. The accommodation seems to be very similar to other universities, simple but clean and usable. The buildings are very old and kind of falling down, but do the job. You will get a very good education but it's not fancy and modern. I love working in the library. It's easy to find your way around and has a floor suitable for every type of student- silent, quiet, busy/loud group study floor. The student union is great to hang out in too. There are bars, nice cafes and pool bars with hundreds of pool tables and all with affordable/cheap menus. Over all, I love going to strathclyde. It's old but great fun and you will be taught by the very best.

Strathclyde is a very enjoyable university to attend. The staff are very helpful and always willing to aid you in your studies. Even when circumstances are hard, the university works well for you. The campus is spread out and has excellent buildings and facilities, looking forward to he new students union that should be open in the next few years. The current union is alright with various facilities throughout including two bars and a cafe with various eating facilities dotted throughout campus.

So far I have really enjoyed my time at this university. The library is one of the best aspects of it.

The campus is in the city of centre of Glasgow with easy access from anywhere. It is a 5 minute walk away from the largest shopping street. There are many facilities in Strathclyde university, a brand new sports facility is being built and due to open Summer 2018 with new gym equipment and swimming pool. The lecturers are supportive and helpful whenever need be. Overall, there is a good student experience at Strathclyde.

The buildings are old and lectue venues are poor eg projectors breaking. The staff are friendly and students are nice. The library is very over priced

Love the campus and how everything is close by and feels like a small village. University is supportive and help is there if you need it. Enjoy my course (Pharmacy) and I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given with it. Glad I came to this university!

It's nice, like OMG, like it's so good, like there's the union

The campus is spread out across the city centre of Glasgow, so there is plenty to do in between lectures and studying. Many parts of the university have been newly refurbished, as a biomedical student I spent much of my time in SIPBS, and the labs are state of the art. There are great facilities, a brand new sport facility is being built and the library spans across 5 floors. A lot of people enjoy the union, as it is an ideal place for cheap drinks, however it’s a huge building that is not used to the full of its potential. I prefer to visit the bars near the campus (city centre so there is plenty!). The careers service has been brilliant, most people don’t use it to its full potential!

Lovely city. Helpful lecturers and great facilities on campus. However student accomodation isn't great

Strath is a friendly university that feels like a natural non-intimidating progression from secondary education to higher education. It's modern and industry-focussed, certainly from an engineering perspective and the departments take an active role in student development.

The campus is very central within the city centre an is therefore very close to other facilities for lunch etc. The library is a short walk away from the main buildings but this is dependent on your course. The union is located in the centre of campus therefore is an easy option for a break between classes. The course is really well taught and there are plenty of tutors and lecturers on hand and willing to help with anything you need. Assignments are well communicated and spread out and you are given a good amount of time between submissions for different subjects. This helps a lot when it comes to studying for exams as well.

I am completing a business degree therefore spend my time within the university’s business school. The campus is well spread out and is easy to navigate around as all buildings are located in side streets off of the one Main Street. The student union is also very central and it is easy to go between here and the library as only a short 5-10 minute walk. The course is really well taught and there are plenty of go-to tutors and lecturers willing to help you whenever needed.

The best place in the world. Big up glasgow for having the best unis, clubs, football teams, facilities etc. Best place in the UK by miles, you’ll never meet any people like Glaswegians.

Fantastically located campus, right in the middle of the city centre, close to nightlife, shops, restaurants, and anything else you could need. A university for useful learning means all students share some similar basic characteristics, making it easy to make friends. Plenty of opportunities for involvement in extra curriculars, with hundreds of societies to choose from.

The campus is very well up to date, in the town centre. Also the buildings are not too far apart. The campus includes lovely gardens and stretches of grass and outside areas for students to sit when the weather permits. There is many cafes within the uni buildings, and in the library which is very convenient. The course I’m studying is maths and stats. The lecturers always keep us well informed and if a problem occurs we know where to find them or contact them all the time. The student union has 6 floors with plenty of bars, restaurants and great deals. Furthermore we are always kept up to date with the careers services available, through email and flyers throughout the uni campus.

The student union and nightlife is great, as well as the sports organisations, so there is always something to do. Although the campus is quite spread out, it is fairly easy to navigate between buildings, and the library is an excellent place to both study and locate information.

I chose Strathclyde because it offered a course unavailable anywhere else. The course has been very interesting and I have loved every second of it. The university location is perfect and easy to travel to, with plenty of shops restaurants and bars around it.

Great campus with excellent course choice and fantastic faculties. Careers service offers a good range of opportunities and is always helpful. Union has cheap drink and good food options, chicken goujons need to come back tho

Good campus facilities. The course offered a poor quality of teaching due to an emphasis on hiring researches with poor interpersonal skills and forcing them to lecture. Students union was averagr. Careers service was fairly helpful

I really love the facilities and societies offered by the student union, there’s something for everyone from all backgrounds, cultures and interests.

The campus is in a great area, in the heart of the city and near train and subway links. Facilities are great as the are gettin done up and many of the buildings are brand new or opening in 2018. The sports centre currently isn't great but a new mass facility is opening later this year. Freshers week is usually great as the whole of Glasgow gets involved in the nightlife and events.

The location is great for buildings such as Royal College, near George square (centre of Glasgow). Campus buildings are not the most attractive and are quite dull to look at but alright to be in. The Strathclyde union is quite bleak from the outside but quite big inside with a few cafes, a snooker room and a few bars, but still not as nice as a few other university unions! Course coordinators and lecturers are very nice and helpful!! Not dissapointed with course content either! Never used the Strathclyde Gym but is apparently very small and basic but they are currently building a massive new gym with added facilities which looks very very promising! All in all a good university to study at with good courses and staff, just the campus and union could be refurbished to give it a more superior look.

The campus is quite large and the departments are separated so you never really get to meet anyone outside of your course. I’m studying humanities and have not met anyone from any other department. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The course structure is quite simple but informative.

Strathclyde is great. The union is brilliant and there’s lots of stuff on all the time. It has seven floors so you’ve always got something to do and there’s always something on. Also the events that clubs and societies put on are cool too.
