Overview

The University of Suffolk opened in 2007 and is one of the newest Higher Education institutions in the UK. Located in the East of England, the University of Suffolk is a unique, modern institution with a stunning waterfront location. At the University of Suffolk, graduates are prepared for a world where nothing ever stays the same, learning in a place where you are encouraged to embrace change, as well as aspire and inspire in equal measure. Our current students have recently ranked us 14th out of 122 institutions based on their academic experience. The University’s main campus is based on the waterfront, with other courses available at our Partner Colleges across Suffolk. The University of Suffolk has a varied and diverse student body, which creates a stimulating and inspiring place to study.

What immediatly drew me to the university was the warmth of the lecturers, I felt that I would be supported greatly. The overall structure of the lectures is good, however the content can sometimes become repetitive and is taught through powerpoints rather than interactive tasks. Teaching styles vary, some lecturers really engage and seem to be really invested in their topic, whilst others become monotone and lack enthusiasm. I feel that the assesments within University life are well constructed, my course consists of both exams and coursework.

Really enjoying my time at UoS so far! The lectuers always have time for you and because my classes are fairly small, I get more attention and can ask more questions. The library and study spaces are really comfy for you to do group study or indiviual study. You can get involved in loads of clubs and socities and the Studenst Union. Suffolk also has a lot to offer like beaches, walks and towns.
