I study English literature. I thoroughly enjoy the course and the amount of choice that I am given regarding my modules. However the organisation within the department is poor and grades are often not returned on time. Campus is beautiful at all times of year and halls were good quality. I particularly enjoyed my time in Heronbank. The humanities building needs updating

The campus is nice because everything is very close together! My course is very hard work. Nightlife is quite average. Uni life isn’t as fun as expected but is getting better.

Very supportive lecturers that understoodles issues students were going through and we're there to listen and help. There's a large variety of modules to choose from in the final year and you also can choose what to do your research on. Each lecturer has there own way of teaching and there's a broad range of things you learn; such as researching, statistics, presentations, report writing, essays, group work, blog posts and even a making Wikipedia page!

On tip of all this, the course has BPS accreditation.

I loved my course and am so happy I chose it! I got to go on a year abroad in France as well as get involved with theatre-related projects for my modules. However I would have like a bit more flexibility from the French department as they were my home department and so often scheduled events that clashed with those of the theatre department.

Course module review - Global Integrative Project, 30/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

This is the worst module I've ever taken. The lectures are done in a very approximate way, the teacher is very messy and expects a lot from everyone, although diclosing very little information on what he wants exactly. Moreover, his responses are often contradictory and his arrogant attitude impedes interaction and room for any queries. This has resulted in a 2:2 average for the 40% group project on the whole. Needless to say, good luck to anyone taking this core module.

Course module review - Life of Media: Past, Present and Future, 15/03/2017

Submitted by Eleanor O'Sullivan on

I took this module slightly on a limb as I was unsure about the content but I knew I loved the lecturer Steve Fuller after having him run an open day session, and it was one of the most interesting topics I have ever studied, with the most passionate and engaging lecturer that genuinely made me excited to get up for 10am every day for a lecture.
