The university has a super welcoming environment. There are coffee shops everywhere and lots of different learning spaces to study in so it's easy to find one that works for you. The library is open 24/7 which is useful for night owls and has a ton of different style spaces inside so if you don't work well at a desk, you can try a bean bag or pod instead.

I love york, my lecturers are always ready to help. There's loads of facilities on site so you don't have to travel into town but if you do it's only a short bus journey away £2 for an open return. There's free buses that run around uni campus also which is really convenient.

Open door team is always available and happy to help and tutors are always providing advice. Although the doctors on campus is ridiculous and the worst GP service I have ever encountered. And I'm a student nurse.

Course review , 31/05/2017

Great teaching with great plethora of lecturers. The content is challenging but mostly effectively taught, with help always provided if required. There is a mixture of exams and coursework for different modules, which you can choose. The range of modules on offer is generally good, perhaps slightly limited compared to Biology students but still decent. Personally, my supervisor throughout university has been great and encouraging, always welcoming for a chat.

Course module review - The Psychology of Will, 11/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

The psychology of will combines psychological and philosophical concepts that makes you question what you all ready know. It requires concentration from the minute you walk in the room but at the end of the seminar you are more than happy you survived through it. Even though it may be more philosophical that you first thought, neuroscience has an important role. I am enjoying the module and cannot wait to see where it ends up!

Course module review - Clean Technology I: Energy & Environment, 02/02/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

This is an optional module that i choose for my degree since i am interested on finding alternative energy source for the future. Overall although it is a relatively short module, a lot had been taught and does help me understand the flaws in current technology on how renewable energy resources had been used, why they are usen in this way and that sonetimes politics are important to try and sell out one's ideas. The exams are not as hard as the optional modules but does require one to think out of the box.

Course module review - Advanced Financial Reporting, 24/05/2016

Submitted by Anonymous on

The module consists of lectures and seminars that give you a great insight into financial reporting. The module is kept up to date with recent information and topis to debate. The lecturers are really helpful and are very willing to help you between lecture and seminars and are more than happy to arrange a mutually convenient time to see them.
