the project based approach to Architecture really helps me to think like an architect and visualise the impact designs of buildings have on its environment and the occupants inhabiting it. the essays help build up an understanding of the history of architecture and the thoughts that went with it. each project has more and more added to it than the last helping me slowly understand every aspect of design.

I'm loving my course at Falmouth, the tutors are great and we have amazing facilities. The course is great for people who are keen animators or visual effects artists.

I am extremely happy doing this course at Falmouth University. The fact that the area I am interested is even a course at university amazes me. The combination of computer skills and art fulfils all of my areas of interest. The teachers have all been in the industry and are very skilled in their teaching. We are constantly having lecturers come in from industry to talk to us so we are ready for our careers in the film industry.

In terms of the place of study, Falmouth has been absolutely perfect. The vibe here is very positive and studying by the beach helps your general wellbeing if this is something that you enjoy. I have met some amazingly talented and likeminded individuals and friends for life on my course, and being able to collaborate with a variety of talent has helped my own portfolio for when I graduate. The course could have benefited from more workshops as opposed to self taught study, which I would say is the biggest downfall to the course. We have also had several lecturers leave very suddenly, leaving us missing out on supported study. We are taught to network sufficiently which I have enjoyed and helped to increase my confidence, from trips to New York and London to collaborations with brands like DC, Roxy and Quicksilver. Overall I would recommend the course to those confident in their practise who want to study by the sea in a relaxed environment.

This module is the last of the second year live event modules. For me this was my least favourite module because of the difficulties i had within my group. The lecturers on the course, however, have been a great deal of help during this time!

The CEM 210 module recurs the student to write an economic and social impact analysis of an existing or historic event. This modules explores social impacts of events and reached students about the community aspect of events. The economic side of the module is really interesting and helps the students to understand the impacts that events have on the economy. This course is very broad and there is a large amount of space given to students to explore areas that interest them. When i did this modules people wrote about a number of events from music festivals to victorian exhibitions, The course nurtures creativity and urges its students to find what they love.

"Content of the course is good, there is a strong focus on industry and practice. Lessons on basics of Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects are provided, and you have the option to pay for intensive/extra lessons and gain a certificate at the end of it. Projects in the first year are varied and allow for a lot of exploratory work, second year gives you more control of your own projects. Options to do placements in second year are well organised. Written assessments are also included twice a year which is a positive as formal writing skills are important."

The course provides students with a vast range of skills that will not only aid graduates within the job market but also skills that can be transferred into every day life. Over the three years of the course there are modules covering not only live events and production but also business planning, marketing and arts studies. For the first and second year there are three modules per term, although there are no exempts the course is graded of written assignments and the live events you put on. The course is close and we are encouraged to work in teams for many modules, there is also individual study for those who are not keen on group work. Falmouth university is a vastly creative institution and nurtures the creativity of each and every student here!
